Hiya!
Just want to pick the brains of you lucky ones who are already living in Oz or who may have visited in August...sorry if Michael Fish is reading - not you coz you always seemed to get it wrong when I was a kid!

Just wondering what the weather is like in august? We will be there for the last two weeks. Soon the summer sales will be starting so don't want to miss out on summer clothes if it is warm enough to wear them.

Cheers in advance!

June, July and August are our winter months, but winter will be on the turn into Spring in the latter part of August. I think the Brisbane show, known as the Eka, is on around this time and I'm quite sure this means chilly winds from the SW are usually around and when anyone goes to the Eka they come back with a cold!

But, it'll probably be dry and warming up nicely. Yesterday it was a lovely day at 23 degrees on the Gold Coast. If beginning to mid June is anything like mid to end of August, it'll be lovely. But, you never know. I've known people to come over for two weeks and for it to rain for almost every day.

My 93 year old grand-father is coming over in September for a little extended summer break.

Keep your eye on the forecasts.

Paul.
