There is no harm in applying now!! But you MUST get your CV sorted out to Australian spec.

Try; www.seek.com.au for further info. on your CV.

Failing that, PM me, and I will send you mine, so you get an idea.

I started to send my CV over after visa grant as the majority of jobs in my sector require permanent residency to be granted. I then went through the oz phone book and sent them my CV and introduced myself as well as registering with tons of agencies, who cant activate my CV until I land and they see me in person (for some reason).

I had quite a few employers say, give us a shout when you land though. But I suppose its broken me in for the rejection side of job applications, not experienced that in years!!

Need to update my CV again now.
What field are you in Batman??

hi cathnpaul,im a baker...........i spoke to a baker in australia yesterday he advised me to start applying 2 months before i arrive he thinks i should have no problem getting a job ,im not to fused what job i start with as i can keep looking when we get there ..........when are you leaving?

leaving 24th June..aircons CV is prob more appropriate as its a trade one.

Just added a bit more to mine and its now 6pages long!! apparently the employers like a long CV in my field according to the agencies. hmmm.
