Redback Posts: 1 Group: Members Member #42 Joined: December 27, 2006	G'day everyone, We are Alan & Sylvi and we were granted our visa at the end of last year. We are coming out to the sunshine coast in July 2007 to live with our son Martin,19 & two daughters aged 12 & 8. Martin has been training as an auto engineer for that past 3 years since leaving school. He now needs a job in this sector and in the UK everything he applies for needs experience - so where is he to find it??? :angry: Since our visa was granted, apart from selling our house, we have been checking out the schools websites but are finding that they vary so much in quality of information that its difficult to make a short list of ones we should look at on or arrival. This is where we were hoping you might be able to help - can anyone recommend a school or schools that we should look at??? We would prefer that the girls were near each other to make life easier for taking and picking up. We would also like to hear from any of you on your removal expereiences - I would like to send out some of the girls toys,books, games etc before we leave the UK so that they are there when we arrive. Are there any suggsetions of economical ways of doing this?? We have friends in Brisbane that can look after the items but posting them is looking far too expensive. We still have to get firms round to quote for shipping our belongings, but I haven't quite finished on the de-cluttering yet - so any recommendations of firms would also be helpful. We would also like to hear from anyone who would just like to get in touch. Although we have friends in Brisbane they are busy parents and so getting together regularly might prove difficult so we would love to get to know either ex-pats or Aussies - just email us on sylviasharp@aol.com We look forward to any correspondence for you.
