Anyone for tennis?

It occurred to me the other day that something wasn't quite right with the KK forum. Now I'm no expert in this field but looking at a few of the other forums around there was definitely something missing. In fact, there were quite a few things missing!

The first, although perhaps not the most important, is the avatar that we can all have. For those that are as clear headed about these things as I am, that's the picture that goes with your post. It can be a static pic or a moving one. It seems they're very popular and yet I'm the only one with one. How come?

Being involved in a few other forums from time to time I soon realised that some of these gave me notification of when someone had replied to my posting. And only the other day I thought to myself that nothing like that ever occurred to me on the KK forum. You simply wouldn't know if anyone replied to your posting unless you actually went to the forum each day. How nice it would be to get an email sent to you as notification of a reply. Is it possible? YES!

So I've done some investigating and, if you'll bear with me for just a moment, I'll show you what you need to do.

Firstly log in. Visit http://www.koalakonnection.com and find the forum.

Now look for the line that reads "Logged in as:" at the top of the page and follow that line across and you'll come to "My Controls". Click "My Controls".

The LH column has you are now seeing has the headings:
Messenger, Subscriptions, Personal Profile and Options.

By all means investigate further, but for now take a look at:
1) Personal Profile to add your avatar and your signature;
2) Options - Email Settings to receive email notification of someone replying to your post. Tick the last box entitled "Enable email notification" if you haven't already done so.

I just get the feeling that some people are asking questions and never know they're getting a reply.

Paul.
