Anyone for tennis? Posts: 654 Group: Admin Member #1 Joined: March 23, 2006	When the sun's not shining... Sure, it can feel cold. But I'm not complaining about the sunny days. Remember the good old days when you got up in the dark, came home in the dark and spent ages scraping off ice before you could go to work in winter and before you could drive home? No thank you. One year, when I was living in the UK, I returned home from a trip to Australia in December. It had been bitterly cold in the UK and the pipes had frozen. Fortunately I'd had the sense to turn off the water supply but that didn't stop the upstairs tank from emptying its contents through the ceiling and into the house via a dozen splits in the pipes after thawing. One room was completely wrecked. Not the sort of home-coming surprise anybody would want. Fortunately the home insurance paid for the re-decoration and repairs, but not until the dehumidifiers had done their work over two weeks, night and day... Paul.
