Latest news from our agents as follows :- Further to the Department of Immigration & Citizenship (DIAC) announcing priority processing, we are finally seeing applications with State Sponsorship (176) and with occupations on the Critical Skills List being allocated case processors within weeks of lodgement. Those applicants who are not state sponsored or do not have an occupation on the critical skills list should expect longer processing times. We believe that DIAC are processing applications in the following order: Group 1 Those applications who are State/Territory Sponsored Group 2 Those applications whose nominated occupation is on the Critical Skills List Group 3 Those applications whose nominated occupation is on the MODL Group 4 All other applications In summary, Group 1 could be allocated case officers within weeks and Group 2 within months, whereas for Group 3 and 4 could be pushed out to between 7 to 12 months Well we're Group 2 - so keep those fingers crossed that we might actually get a CO in the next couple of months!
