That was until Pete rolled it one day and then he was forced to borrow his gran's Allegro. I can't remember if it had the quartic steering wheel, but I do remember it had the most bouncy plastic seats in a deep maroon colour and we'd have to hang on around bends if he ever drove it as enthusiastically as he did the Mini. He hit a kerb in the Mini and it toppled over onto its roof! MGs. Now they're a different act entirely. Well, until the plastic bumpers that the Americans insisted we needed to protect our bonces. Chrome bumper MGBs and MGAs are the prettiest of cars. One day...
