G'day Tonyspud! It took us about two years. Our agent said we could be accepted to go to NZ in about 6 months (how desparate are they?) but seeing as we wanted Australia that wasn't the right option for us. So they quoted about 12 - 18 months and that was probably about right. Our house sale and just getting into gear was probably what slowed us a little. Still, what's time? Once you're here it'll be summer most of the year and that always makes time feel less urgent. There's never that feeling of winter being just around the corner. Say "hi" to Liverpool for me. We lived and worked on the Wirral for a number of years and I'll second what Tyke said - they won't hold it against you! Paul.
