Yes and no. I think it depends where you are on the planet. The UK has a system whereby anything of value that's discovered under your land is considered "treasure trove" and Queenie gets her paws on it. Something like that. I'm not a lawyer, but that's how understood the law. Other countries have a more fair system. I dare say some have a less fair system too. Oh dear, a sensible answer... Right, yes, it's all yours and the most important bit is at the very bottom, where it's nice and warm, and a bit gooey. In fact, so gooey and warm that it's moving all the time, so it's shared between all the landowners of this planet. What HM owns is also yours. |
