Theweekshousehold has accidently sent this to the moderators - have posted onto the link for you: Hi I’m currently completing an access course in college in the UK and I originally did the course to go on to midwifery but since doing the course have decided otherwise. One thing that was pointed out to me by college/Uni is that if you train to be a midwife that is what you will be and should you not like it find it hard getting work etc etc you cannot diversify. I was advised that it would be better to train as a nurse then specialize in midwifery and then you have allot more options open to you should midwifery not be all its cracked up to be. Obviously this is in the UK but its worth thinking about. |
