The bureau of statistics has tons of stuff on it that may help. But I can say here on the Sunshine Coast the average wage is $35,000 across the board. Full-time earnings in Australia averaged A$53,860 per annum in early 2006. (According to the Bureau of Statistics.) If overtime and bonuses are included, earnings were $56,350 per annum. The average full-time male wage (excluding overtime) in Australia is $57,130 per annum The average full-time female wage in Australia (excluding overtime) is $48,115 per annum. Workers in the Capital Territory (Canberra) are Australia's highest paid workers while Tasmania has the lowest average wage.
