In the spring of 2007, there will be a new book released. The children of Hurin. This book has been finished by Christopher Tolkien, son of JRR Tolkien.
I wonder what this book will bring!!!

in the "unfinished tales" by Tolkien, made for publication by his son, there is also a part about the Children of Húrin, isn't that the same?

You said I know that this will hurt

oooh! This sounds exciting! Plus the name is rather intriguing!

Lieke, that's why it is called unfinished tales. The book already exists, but was never finished and now it is a complete book instead of parts.

I heard someone say that the Children of Hurin was the same as published in the unfinished tales. Though I am really unsure this is true, because I don't think they'd make another and such a big publication out of it if it wasn't new. I think a lot of new things must have been added (and found recently?) Though this part about the Turin and Nienor has always been my favorite one in the unfinished tales, and isn't there also some about them in the Sil?

It should have been released the 17th of this month. Though I have not yet seen it, nor do I have the money to buy it.

No, it is a new one. It is not the same because it wasn't published yet. Christopher Tolkien finished it.

I noticed on amazon.com, the Children of Hurin is their #2 bestselling book, only beaten by Harry Potter.
