I just got a wireless router today (w00t!) so the TS server will be down until I figure out the port forwarding. If anyone here has experience with TS and routers, let me know.

::EDIT:: Ok, I got the TS server working again. I had my wireless security set to where I could allow anyone to connect, and ban specific MAC addresses (No, no one was leeching my connection) but when I set it to allow only MAC addresses I specified, it decided it would work. Don't know why the hell that would make a difference, but it did.

Still doesn't work. I'm gonna be upgrading to the DD WRT firmware tomorrow, so that'll more than likely make things significantly easier.

What's your model? Linksys WRT54G? If so, I used to have that model and I can help you get the port forwarding working.

Wireless connections aren't so much slower, per se, they're just sketchier and less reliable.

Wireless connections should have no difference when browsing the internet or playing. If you are near the router, you connect at 54Mbps, which is roughly 6Megabytes per second. If you connect with a cable, you are looking at 100Mbps or around 12Megabytes per second. So the main difference will be when transfering files on a network, its quicker if you are all attached phsically.

The internet shouldn't be any slower unless you have a very fast connection.

I have an insanely fast connection, which is why I left my desktop wired.

Its wireless? Its easy to conenct several computers at a time, especially if they are in different rooms of the house? Its useful if you have a laptop since you can carry it around and stay connected?
