Event Aftermath of the Somme December 2016
Where - Newville PA
When - Dec, 2-4, 2016
Details
Members of the Great War Association,

We will once again be hosting a third WW1 event. This year to go along with the centennial, it will be a 1916 themed event on the weekend of December 2-4, 2016.
The event will be based upon the events that followed the battle of Somme that lasted from July 1st - November 18, 1916.

French, German, British, and Commonwealth unit impressions that are correct for mid to late 1916, will be the scenario correct impressions for this event.

Units and individual re-enactors with period correct kits are encouraged to attend; individuals will be brigaded with other attending units for the event.

Uniform and equipment standards will be posted soon.

Questions can also be forwarded to the following event coordinators:

French units - Carter Bertone - chargebayonets@cox.net

British/Commonwealth units - Eric Verny - hatrick19@verizon.net

German units - Joe Murray - ct1407@msn.com

This event will begin early on Friday evening, continue through the night, and end late in the afternoon on Saturday. There will be activities that will simulate trench life for the common soldier and there will be several combat scenarios.

Consider attending this event as it will be exploring some different facets of WWI re-enacting; which we believe will make for an interesting and exciting experience for those who attend.
