Ratchet: Deadlocked is the first in the series to have difficulty settings, and so far, the last. Let's go over a couple outlines in them. Couch Potato: Completing challenges gets you 1 star. Nanotech heals HALF of your health. Enemies are extremely frail. Your vehicles are incredibly durable. Etc. Contestant: Basic difficulty setting. Challenges get you 2 stars. Nanotech heals around 1/4th of your health... ...Screw it. You get the idea. Let's skip a few. Exterminator: Earned after beating the game. Completing challenges gets you 5 stars. Nanotech heals 1/10th of your health. Enemies are ridiculously powerful and plentiful. Your vehicles are made of papier mache. You get slightly more ammo than usual, however. Bullets also move about as fast as they do in real life, and the enemies are actually ACCURATE. Homing missiles and such turn on a dime and have little range limit, and are much faster than you. Let me reiterate the stronger enemies point. I'm at the first planet with a fully upgraded Vulcan Cannon. It took me 6-7 shots to take down a turret. How bad would it have been on Couch Potato? 1 shot. With a level 1 Vulcan Cannon. You get the idea. Satan. >_> |
