Despite what Lash says, Ooziums ARE fun to poke.

Battlefield - Eh, its just boring. Normally I'm fine with boring courses, but something about this is beyond boring (as in worse than the last battlefield)

Final Destination - This is just a normal boring course, which I like. Plus the music is beyond awesome. I don't like how its smaller than the last FD though.

Delfino Plaza - I wish I could like this course, but I hate it. Especially water getting in the way of kills.

Luigi's Mansion - Fun course, not much more to say.

Mushroomy Kingdom - Its a cool concept, but an absoultely terrible course to play on. Both of them.

Mario Circuit - Nothing particularly bad, nothing particiularly good. Its a normal course.

Rumble Falls - DIE ICYCLE MOUNTAIN V2

Bridge of Eldin - Its fun, thats all you can say. Plus there are a ton of great songs.

Pirate Ship - Some of it I love (music, tornado sequence), some of it I hate (Random ship-throwy thing, water)

Norfair - This is definately one of the top 3 courses in the game, its great.

Frigate Orpheon - See: Mario Circuit, only this one is a bit better because at least you can meteor smash people off the edge. And the flips are awesome when they kill your opponent.

Yoshi’s Island - See: Battlefield. A simple, overly boring course.

Halberd - A great course with possibly the best music collection in the game. <3

Lylat Cruise - See: Frigate Orpheon only without the flips.

Pokémon Stadium 2 - See: Lylat Cruise only with the ftw flying part.

Spear Pillar - Another one of the top 3 courses in the game. Assuming Dialga is out, this is my personal favorite.

Port Town Aero Dive - I liked Mute City, and this is just Mute City with better music (although more annoying cars).

Castle Siege - Fun course, not much more to say.

WarioWare, Inc. - Microgames ftw.

Distant Planet - Fun course, not much more to say. Also bulborb.

Smashville - See: Battlefield; a simple overly boring course.

New Pork City - Just too big...this is nothing like temple in terms of enjoyment. Ultimate Chimera is cool, but it doesn't come often enough and doesn't stay for long enough. Also that platform at the bottom breaking is just annoying.

75m - This is terrible with 2 people, but its okay for party matches.

Mario Bros. - This is just terrible. Its like Mushroomy Kingdom, its in for the concept not the playability.

Summit - This is superior to the previous ice climber course that it is unbelievable. Its actually a fun course...except for the water and fish. However Shin Ogawhateveritscalled makes up for that.

Skyworld - Looks a lot better than it is. It is way too easy to randomly fall through the stage and not be able to recover due to the unbroken blocks.

Hanenbow - Terrible, there is nothing more you can say.

Flat Zone 2 - Too small, there is nothing more you can say.

PictoChat - Intresting concept, and quite fun. But what is with all the menu themes, who would actually want to listen to those?

Shadow Moses Island - Its an okay course, nothing really bad nothing reallty good.

Green Hill Zone - I wish I could play on this course more but it is just not fun. The ground breaking is lame and it is too small. Also WHY did they put silver in the background.

God kills a kitten every time someone bitches about Silver being in GHZ. STOP FUCKING DOING IT.

Edit: Slightly more on topic, I find Green Hill Zone to be a tiny bit generic. It doesn't move, the hazards consist of things that are basically flippers and falling floors. It's more like a glorified stage builder level that you can walk off of.

Don't take offense though. >_>

I like NPC for the completely random name abbreviation and because of the Ultimate Chimera's 200% damage. >_>

I saw a CPU get bitten by the UC's bite twice. It was set on level nine, so when it hit a wall after the first bite, it teched and didn't die. I threw it into the Chimera again. It didn't tech this time.

It's be called teching since Smash Bros 64 and I'll be damned if I'm going to call it something else.

It's been called teching by the fans. The official term is Ukemi. Deal with it.

The fans have been calling it teching since SSB64. The people at SWF still use the word tech. I'm damn well going to use the word tech.

Ukemi is going to catch on. Brawl is bringing even more beginners into the series, and they're going to read the manual. The manual will say Ukemi. Do the math.

Oh well. Call it what you want.

The manual doesn't actually mention teching in it. >_>

Oh. That's the argument all those competitive elitists actually use. "IT'S IN THE MANUAL" or "IT'S AN EXPLOIT AND EXPLOITS ARE GOOD". Honestly, I think that if they're going to argue, at least make a credible one. For instance, they bitch about how Bob-Ombs and exploding capsules and Pokeballs screw up tournaments. Well, here's an idea. Turn off Party Balls, Capsules, Healing Items, Boxes, Barrels, Pokeballs, Assist Trophies, and Bombs, and stop bitching. At least, I heard from M4S you can turn off containers. >_>

Still, I really don't care what they do. I'm not involved. I just don't see any credibility in their arguments.

Yes, you can turn off containers. The item switch just shows a box, but turning it off turns off crates, rolling crates, barrels, party balls, and capsules. No surprise container explosions. And since you can turn all of the other explosives off, there's no more of that "WAH I MAY ATTACK AND AN EXPLOSIVE SPAWNS THE SECOND I SWING" so that particular excuse for no items has just gone down the shitter.

Also...

There are quite a few techniques that didn’t make their way into the instruction manual.

I’ll try not to get too technical with things, but just know that there are lots of small tricks like these for you to play around with.

<Ukemi>

When a blow sends you flying, tap the shield button just before you come into contact with the ground, wall, or ceiling. You’ll bound off the surface with a little hop and, like a judo master, cancel any excess momentum that would have otherwise kept you careening around wildly.

<screenshot>

Press with just the right timing.

Since midair move-based recoveries have become more fluid, I believe some will find this technique to be slightly less important than it was in the previous game.

It's no in the manual, so unless people check the site, they won't even know that's the official name.

Just because some things have official names now hasn't stopped the likes of SWF from using the terms they've been using, and damned if I'm gonna use a different word too.

Also on the subject of exploits, items, which are PROGRAMMED INTO THE GAME, ruin it, but clearly an exploit of the physics system is perfectly okay even though it makes already good characters broken. Yeah, sure. May as well let me use Mewtwo's total paralysis technique, that's an exploit too.

But now they bitch about how Heart Containers basically give an extra life to someone.

Protip: TURN IT OFF.

Seriously. Keep melee weapons, except maybe Homerun Bats. Instant kill, tons of lag. Competitive elitists bitch about those, no matter how much lag or how easy they are to dodge. Keep our ray guns and maybe basic food. Turn off the hammers (despite being insanely easy to dodge) and all the other "cheap" items. Then you've got nothing to bitch about.
