1. It's not a shooter It may have health bars and a single player game that's around 6 hours long, but those are the only similarities it bears to Halo there. It's not a shooter. I don't personally think console shooters are incredibly fun to play. I prefer PC. >_> 2. The game will be good Yeah, I went there. This game will actually BE GOOD. And I don't mean Halo 3 sucked. By no means did it suck. It just had countless flaws in it that made you have to pay a monthly fee to be able to play it. It's pretty much... bullshit, let me say that. If you didn't pay this fee, you couldn't play online, which took out all the good stuff in the game. Sure, there was co-op, but that's only good if you have friends or other controllers. I felt like, overall, this game was just a scam to get people's money. 3. Halo 3 vanished from conversation within a week after it came out. Seriously, what's up with that? I mean, I went to school one day, everyone's talking about how they reserved Halo 3, and they're spending hundreds of dollars just to play it. 3 days later, those same people sold their 360s and copies of Halo 3 for double what they paid for it after beating the game once. Is that game of the year material? Is that good game material period, if everyone I know, INCLUDING TUM, have stopped caring about the game enough to talk about their new ownage replay? I personally don't think so. 4. I got bored with Halo 2 I didn't get bored with Melee, ever. For all 7 years its been out, I've played it constantly, and it's never lost its appeal to me. Personally, once you beat Halo, if you don't have Xbox Live (The aforementioned fee), you have no reason to play it anymore. There are no automated CPUs to abuse the AI of. There's only the single player game, which can only be played so many hundreds of times in the same day before it gets dull. Let me put it this way: Try playing SSBM ONLY on Classic Mode. Bored yet? Sorry if you consider this mindless Halo haet, but it is a good effort for a game. I just felt like it was only made to market Xbox Live, which made it suffer. Brawl isn't going to market Nintendo WFC, because there's nothing to market, and no money for Nintendo to gain by you using their service. Don't even think about throwing me that crap that Xbox Live is better. I know it is, but I think they should let you have a shitty version so you can at least enjoy the multiplayer. It was a bad plan in my opinion. Your thoughts? |

also by point two I hope this "monthly subscription" isn't online you know, that little function that's on numerous XBox games, the one you apparently called a "flaw" because it gives you the option, on top of co-op and versus |

You mean Xbox Live, which you have to pay for. I don't like how they couldn't even allow computer played enemies be an option. If they did, I wouldn't hate the game so much for FORCING you to get Xbox Live to enjoy it. Sure, real life friends, but what are the odds you'll have friends good at shooters who are available? Hell, I barely have friends who are available to talk to outside of school, let alone play games with. I know, also, you can buy a non-monthly version of it, but I personally wouldn't keep Halo 3 long enough for that to be useful. |

I personally have more than enough friends who could kick some ass at a shooter. You just need more friends. |

Or you could, you know, GET XBOX LIVE. I mean, really, Halo 3 will get its longevity from online, duh. |

I've got plenty of friends. A grand total of one of the twenty plus still plays Halo. The rest haven't talked about it since they beat it. Ever. And these people had Xbox Live. Same thing with Bioshock and Assassin's Creed. They never really talked about those games being "So awesome" or anything. No, I don't even think they said Halo was going to be "so awesome" or "perfect" or even "good". They just said "Oh look. You can save replays. Co-op? That'll be cool. What else? Oh, no CPU opponents. Oh well. I'll just play the single player and sell it." Also, I don't feel like paying a monthly fee just to get a game's longevity. I like a game to have its longevity without a cost. Like all of the Smash Bros games, which cost a grand total of nothing to have CPU matches. You can't have CPU matches in Halo, because THERE'S NO CPU. Because Microsoft was being a dumbass and only making it to market Xbox Live. Seriously, stop arguing with me about it. Hell, even Rock Band has more longevity than Halo, and you have to buy half of its content. I'm speaking of if you buy the game and the game alone, Brawl is the undisputed best. Even if you paid for every service possible, Brawl is still superior, but it's not a complete blowout. At least Halo has some longevity afterwards. |

Bioshock is great because I got to use it extensively in a college thesis. That wasn't about Videogame related things. |

I got to use Guitar Hero in school as a presentation. Twice. Neither time were the presentations about videogames. IN SCHOOL. One was about dexterity, the other was about society (And its relation to music). |

No, I hate you both because you got to use videogames FOR SCHOOL. Although, quite frankly, Xbox Live has uses outside just Halo 3. It has uses for MOST Xbox games, really, since Microsoft seem to be the only ones intelligent enough to release extra content and patches via their online support. |

Last year, we had to take a standardized test...and my essay for Part One used the word "Pikmin." I also mentioned Mario and Zelda... Before writing the essay we had to read a couple of pages about something. Guess who it was about? >_> |

I do recall that on our most recent standardized test, one of the questions was an article about Shigeru Miyamoto, or a biography, or something like that. We answered some questions and wrote a paper of some sort. >_> |

Half my english assignments in High-School were assigned by really awesome teachers who told me to either relate what we are reading to anything, or just to free write. At one point, I came up with some sort of console that controlled time and space, but other than that, it was all video games. >_> |
