Let it be known that I suck as all Pokemon, Ness, and Falco (Yet not Fox?). So far today, I've cleared Classic with the rest of the characters without dying, and completed All-Star without healing or continuing, thus unlocking Game and Watch and Battlefield. And a shitload of trophies. Also, Rest for Jigglypuff kicks ass if you hit with it. I love those 2 second long battles ended by Rest. Yeah, my memory card exploded long time ago, so I had to unlock everything again. I'm not bothering to get Final Destination. >_> |

Now I'm going to make up an adventure. Because I'm bored. Part 1: Rise of the evil Dr. Mario Playable characters: Dr. Mario Enemies: All other characters, including Dr. Mario (Lv 1) Special: Stamina. Reduce HP to 0 to win, do NOT knock foe off. Stage: Battlefield. If you KO a foe, try again at Hyrule Temple. Fail again, and you must restart from 2 characters ago. Battle 1: Dr. Mario Battle 2: Mario Battle 3: Luigi Battle 4: Bowser Battle 5: Peach Battle 6: Yoshi Battle 7: DK Battle 8: C. Falcon Battle 9: Ganondorf Battle 10: Falco Battle 11: Fox Battle 12: Ness Battle 13: Ice Climbers (Reduce both to 0 HP) Battle 14: Kirby Battle 15: Samus Battle 16: Zelda/Sheik Battle 17: Link Battle 18: Y. Up until he heard of a foe who had not been slain... Battle 24: Marth vs. Dr. Mario (Lv 5) Dr. Mario has been defeated, and captured in the form of a trophy thanks to the efforts of Marth. However, all of the other fighters, knocked off of Battlefield, still needed to be revived... Part 2: The dark fighters Playable Characters: Marth at first, then any fighter you revive. Enemies: All other characters, excluding Marth and Dr. Mario. All Lv 3. Special: Stamina. Reduce HP to 0 to win, fighter must be falling off of Hyrule Temple as battle ends (Yet not get KO'd). If defeated, you must purify the defeated fighter again. Stage: Hyrule Temple. If you fail, the next fighter in line comes to attack you as you attempt to continue purifying your current opponent. If more than 3 join at once, start over from the first battle. Battle 25: Dr. Mario Battle 26: Mario Battle 27: Luigi Battle 28: Bowser Battle 29: Peach Battle 30: Yoshi Battle 31: DK Battle 32: C. Falcon Battle 33: Ganondorf Battle 34: Falco Battle 35: Fox Battle 36: Ness Battle 37: Ice Climbers (Purification of Popo is all that is necessary) Battle 38: Kirby Battle 39: Samus Battle 40: Zelda/Sheik Battle 41: Link Battle 42: Y. Yeah, Bowser is awesome if you don't use advanced techniques. And I don't. My good characters are: Mario Dr. Mario Bowser Fox Samus Y. Link Marth And the worst? Roy Falco Yoshi Ness Ice Climbers Ganondorf Funny how half my worst are clones of my best characters. >_> |

I'm not going to be playing Melee again. I don't want to get used to how it works, because Brawl is so much different. |

No, the entire feel of Brawl will be vastly different. I find myself often getting the "Stale Moves" penalty, possibly because my tactic is to just spam smash attacks as much as possible. That's BAD for Brawl. In Brawl, spamming the same move over and over and over will not only decrease the damage but also the knockback. That and the whole feel of Brawl is generally just different, so I'll just wait for Brawl. |

Same thing in Melee. Attacks used repeatedly eventually drop as far as half power and knockback. |

No, Melee only drops damage dealt. The knockback doesn't. |

If you wanted to, you could play entire games with just smashes. After a while it'd be hard to damage enemies, but they still went flying at high damages. That is no more. |

*Epic headdesk* THE SHEER POINT OF FINAL SMASHES IS TO BE POWERFUL AS ALL HOLY HELL. THEY WOULD NOT BE DIMINISHED IN POWER FROM REPEATED USE WITHOUT DOING ANYTHING ELSE. Besides, you need to attack the Smash Ball to open it, so the point is moot; the attacks against the Smash Ball would negate the power penalty if there was one. |

Power penalty does not come from using the same move repeatedly, or you could just cycle between your 3 smash attacks and stay at full power. It's the amount of time you used it over the course of the match. Sure, it'd take awhile, but a Final Smash will wear down eventually. |

No, it won't. The power penalty is removed after a while. Otherwise, in 99 stock matches, by the end you'd be doing 1% damage per attack. Do you have to be a friggin' idiot about EVERYTHING? |

*Bones chips and gray matter splatter on the wall behind me as yes, my epic facepalm went THROUGH my face* No. No. No. No. No. You're a fucking IDIOT. Ask Melee experts. Repeated use of an attack weakens it. Continued use of the same attack over and over will weaken it further. If you mix up your attacks instead of spamming the same things, the penalty is nonexistent. In Brawl, the damage penalty is increased, and the knockback is reduced as well. For instance, three consecutive uses of Zelda's fair resulted in it having SIGNIFICANTLY less knockback. That doesn't happen if you use lots of different attacks. |

That's what I'm saying. But you see, using an attack that does 25% damage repeatedly WILL NOT reduce it to 1% in ANY circumstance. The lowest it will go is around half. Are you a FUCKING melee expert? I didn't. Fucking. Think so. |

Fine. Go ask on Smashboards and get laughed at. But I played a lot of Melee and even through 99 stock matches, my attacks never went down to doing only half damage. If it halved damage and knockback in Brawl, a 99 stock match would take a ludicrously long amount of time. It may not go down to doing only 1% damage, but it sure as hell won't gradually drop to half damage/knockback and stay there if you keep switching it up. |

Yeah, and we're off topic anyway. Just did a 10 minute coin match, one on one, no items, Battlefield. 1661 coins. ^^ ...And no negative bonuses. |
