Freeware/Indy/Flash games should be posted here/merged with this post to prevent confusion and organize the forum. "Free" MMORPGs, however, I do not count as freeware. For a game to be freeware, it must have every feature be free. No free trials, no "Cash Shop", and no "Member Fee". That cuts out Runescape and Maple Story, as well as Flyff at the very least. Any game not designed for any sort of profit can be posted here.

2 really decent platformer games, freeware, and you make your own levels.

With Knytt Experiment, you explore huge scrolling "levels", and can move to different screens exploring the world that all of the users have created. You can even make your own level and add it to the database so people can download it and add it to the huge world they have built up already. I'd like to see M4S design some, but you can't create fiendishly evil things that kill you, so...

With Knytt Stories, you play through stories created by other people, or the official stories already included. You can even create your own stories, populated by fiendishly evil enemies, and tiles all your own. Layer 3 is the one that interacts with Juni (You), all objects are placed on layers 0, 1, and 2 (Select objects on the upper left of the editor). All layers above layer 3 (4, 5, 6, and 7) are used for background decorations. Experiment with all of the objects to figure out what does what. All levels can be up to or above 2000x2000 screens large, so enjoy creating HUGE levels for me to play.

My highscore is 12,891,180. I have it on paint, so just give me a link to Imageshack and I'll post it.

That game amuses me. It also proves a fact of MS.

Archers suck

Seriously, how many times do you have to fail Red Snerg Rush before you finally beat it? >_>

>_> Is there an actual skill called "Go Outside"? And what, precisely, does "Ascend" do?

Yes, there is a skill called Go Outside. It does nothing.

Ascending allows you to restart at level 1 with various benefits. In this way, you can earn more of the Medals you can get in game. Each time you ascend, you carry on the benefits from your previous ascension. More precisely, when you get the ability, it unlocks an item in the shop. It costs 99,999,999 mesos and unlocks a new mission. It's called the Ascension Test.

Here, you fight 3 enemies. One is a boss, the others are a bitch. The boss is an immobile foe called The Ascendant with 42,424,242 HP. The 2nd enemy is a Red Snail with around 400,000 HP and the ability to make you fail in about 2 seconds. The final enemy is simply Alishar. With 1,500,000 HP. Alishar is extremely slow, and as you might have figured, the Red Snail is really fast. Beat this and you can choose to Ascend or not. In case you didn't know, the way the game works is that enemies come from the left. If they reach the red arrow, you fail. As they pass the blue arrow, a yellow arrow called the repel rate appears. It moves back if no enemy is pushing it. Repel Rate and Accuracy determines your ending score and rank. You must repeatedly kill enemies until you get to 25 kills. In boss fights, you must kill the boss and 25 enemies.

Hunterstory is a game where you're an archer who kills stuff. Now play it.

I'm probably quitting. Wanna learn how to hack it? You could set the exp tnl to 1. >_>
