The point of this topic is moot, as the game is out in Japan. Although, just to blatantly ignore the videos all over the internet, I've got to say Final Destination looks amazing in Brawl. Today's update details the background usage. |

Trophy descriptions In English, but they're not labeled which trophy is which, so you have to look for context clues. Luigi's FS description is surprising. |

Yeah, I've seen that. First video I saw was Link getting crushed by a lowering ceiling. At first I thought he'd just take a lot of damage but no, he went boom. |

Yeah, I went all hypocrite on you and watched Brawl videos of SSE. Now I know not to get crushed. >_> Also, I was reading comments and someone said that someone's death was unexpected. I thought he was talking about the story, but in the video, Mario went up an elevator standing ON it. BIG MISTAKE. He got smashed. >_> |

Methinks Spear Pillar is banned for competitive play. And for VERY good reason. THERE'S SO MUCH RANDOMNESS. 20 seconds after the start of the level, a Pokemon appears in the background. From what I've read, either Palkia, Dialga, or Cresselia (Something like that) appears back there, as well as occasionally those little munchkins like Azelf and the other two that look like it. Not sure what Palkia does. Dialga will occasionally hop forward from his platform in the BG and use an attack that sends nearby people flying upward, then he steps back onto his platform. Cresselia will throw out a boomerang-like projectile and fire crescents. Not sure what Azelf and such do. There are other stage hazards too. Number one, lasers. Yes, lasers. Occasionally a laser will fire across the bottom section of the stage, or at the top left or top right section, straight down. These are, of course, very painful. Two, occasionally, a section or the top platform will shatter, opening a path to the bottom section of the stage, and some time later fix itself. The stage will also occasionally tilt diagonally. (WTF?) Lastly, it will also occasionally MIRROR. As in, the stage, and everyone's positions relative to it, flip. THAT is deadly if you've been knocked off the stage, as instead of moving TOWARD the stage, it'll flip and suddenly you're moving AWAY from the stage. That's just what I've seen. Thus far, Spear Pillar looks like the craziest stage just behind WarioWare. ... I don't know why I posted this. I WAS COMPELLED. I HAD TO POST IT SOMEWHERE. IT'S LIKE THOSE TIMES WHEN ARTISTS SUDDENLY HAVE AN URGE TO DRAW SOMETHING AND IT WON'T LEAVE THEM ALONE UNTIL IT DOES. I NEEDED TO POST THIS ARGABLARGAG. |

THESE aren't the advanced techniques I care about. I USE these. The ones that piss me off are the ones that abuse game engine glitches and exploits such as wavedashing. Powershielding, parrying, and even recovering as you hit the ground? Those have been in since the series began, and are actually not cheap. I mean, come on, SHFFLing Link's dair made him overpowered, and Fox was top tier because he was good at waveshining people. I feel it just severely unbalanced the game. |

Aero Dive looks good and banned. "But wait! Mute City wasn't banned and it was pretty much exactly the same!" Almost. In Aero Dive, the cars are a LOT bigger, a LOT faster, with NO warning, and they kill at VERY low %s. Like, 70%. That's GAMEBREAKING in a tournament. |

Dedede's Fsmash is less situational. That, you have to wait a couple minutes between times. You also need a Smash Ball and Super Mushroom at the same time. |

Hay Rob. Final Smashes are immune to Stale Moves Negation. Because attacking the Smash Ball counts toward removing the negation for other moves, so even if they DID suffer from Stale Moves (Which would defeat the purpose of a FINAL SMASH), they can't because you need to attack the Smash Ball. |

If you wait, you could use a single attack to smash the Smash Ball, then use it. It gradually loses health as it floats about. |

There could be a such thing as cheating to always be in a Smash Ball state with a future cheat device released for the Wii. Since the Final Smash is a move, and it's intended to be immune to the aforementioned effects because of how you acquire it, that does NOT mean it's immune. It just means that it's immune by conventional means. Through usage of a cheat device, you could place yourself always within Final Smash standby status, and use it repeatedly. Thus, it WOULD get weaker. I see no reason why the negation wouldn't apply to Final Smashes, as they are attacks. There isn't code in the game to make them inherently immune. They just are because of how to acquire it. |

There's an Event match where you play as Fox in constant "Smash Ball acquired" status, so you can use the Landmaster to rack up kills. The damage and knockback output does not lower. Ever. |

Because all the Landmaster final smash does is turn you into a Landmaster tank. The attack itself does no damage whatsoever. I refer to ones that do direct damage, such as the Triforce Slash, or the Mario Finale. Those ARE attacks, and they do damage. The will do less damage if used repeatedly in a row. |

*Epic Headwall* Faith in humanity... rapidly deteriorating... Wouldn't, you know, THE CANNON do gradually less damage? You know? Duh? Of course, it doesn't, because IT'S A FUCKING FINAL SMASH and not affected by Stale Moves. |

Why do you think people alternate the cannon and barrel rolls/thrusters? I rarely see people spam the cannon, and when they do, I see a noticeable decrease in knockback. |
