Katamari games, I think, are my more favorite games. They have a unique graphics style, and some kind of a puzzle gameplay thing. It's confusing.

Story: The first thing that happens in Katamari Damacy is that the King of All Cosmos gets drunk, and "accidentally" destroys all of the stars in the solar system. Not much of a story, eh.

Graphics: It's... wierd. It's a japanese art style, looks like Cel Shading. The graphics aren't really 100% great, either, but...

Gameplay: Your objective, it to roll an object around called a Katamari. There are various objects all over the map. Anywhere from Thumbtacks, to Candy, to Japanese board games. You have to roll those up in the Katamari to make it bigger. Why do you want a big Katamari? To create new stars to fill the night sky, before the humans figure out what the King of All Cosmos did to the world. That sounds easy, but there's a time limit. If it runs out before you fulfill the requirements, you have to create stardust instead of a star. And you don't go to the next level. As you roll stuff up, the Katamari increases in Diameter. Now, the diameter is far from accurate. Once you hit 1M, you'll be bigger than humans. If you get 3000 M, you'll be able to roll up entire continents. Yeah, the diameter is measured in metric measurements.

Replay value: When you create Stardust or Stars to fill the sky, you can view them. You can name them. You can go back to levels and take pictures. There are hundreds of different objects to record in the list of all objects that you rolled up. There are presents and cousins to find and roll up in each stage. There's plenty to do, but not like in Zelda games or anything like that.

Controls: Again, unique. The left analog stick controls the left hand of the prince, who is rolling the Katamari. The right analog stick controls the right hand. That's about as simply as I can put it. Basically, if you push the left one forward, and do nothing with the right one, you move forward and right, as well. If you push both forward, you go straight. If you push both left, you go left. Etc...

Overall: It's just a fun game to play, and the amount of objects are rather interesting. It's nothing groundbreaking, if you happen to be Japanese.

Yeah, it's a PS2 game. Should have mentioned that.

I've played it before. But I didn't get to the point where you can roll up a god.

In We <3 Katamari, you can roll up the King and Queen on the last stage. You just need to get around 3500M in diameter.
