I wrote this poem to my husband. I have has a terminal disease for more yrs than I knew. I know that I will not live to old age. but I've made my peace and I am not afraid at all. My only worry is my husband. So I wrote this for him. I sealed it in a envelope and gave it to my sister to give him when I'm gone.

Dream of Me

Sleep a while... and of dream of me
For in your dreams I will always be
Your best friend and you loving wife
In this world and in the next life.

Sleep a while... and be at peace
For in your dreams the sorrow will cease.
Dream of the love that filled our days
And know that I will be with you always.

Sleep a while... and feel my embrace,
My arms around you, a smile on my face.
Let go of your grief, for I am still here
I'm with you now... can you feel me near?

We'll be together again someday
When your time has passed away
Together in Paradise, we'll be
Young and in love for Eternity.

:( That's really sad. Sorry to hear that you have a t-d. How hard must it have been to write that poem? My prayers go out to you

Well, believe it or not. this poem helped me put my life in perspective. I'm actually looking forward to being in spirit. Some people may think this is morbid.

My earthly 'vehicle' is starting to wear out. This vehicle will soon be towed the the junk yard where "spirit me" can pick out a better model!!!! The vehicle wasn't an old model, it just go drove into the ground by me....No fear.
