Ok as we are progressing again now we need to make sure we keep it going, so here are a few simple rules we have to stick too:

Raid rules (can change in the course of these first few weeks)

1. Turn up ON TIME, a 7pm start means 6.45pm, so we can make the first pull at 7pm. you'll not get picked for any future runs if you are consistantly logging on 5 min before the runs without reasonable reasons.

2. Come prepared, that means any attunement trinkets/keys, pet food, spell reagents, ammo etc should already be with you, and your armour should be at 100% and the four golden things you take with you are flasks(must have for ZA and above), elixirs, mana potions(must have) health pots(just a couple for real bad situations), well fed items(must have ~20, plus extra can include mana oil/sharpening stones/damage absorbsion warding things for tanks.

3. Know where it is and get yourself there, don’t rely on the summoning stone/warlocks to do the travel for you.

4. If you need food/drink from a mage, healthstone from a warlock, rebuffs etc, ask politely, don’t spam. If you are not receiving a buff quickly enough, inform the raid leader. Equally – mages, locks be prepared to provide these things for the raid!

5. If you play a class that can buff, once you have your assigned groups, it is your responsibility to keep everyone buffed, the raid leader cannot monitor the buffs of 20+ people. Use the class chat channels to organize this.

6. Make sure you are on TS if the rest of the Raid is, also have BigWigs / DBM + Omen installed and running, class specific addons and any other raid assist addons are a bonus, but not "Required"

7. Get TS installed, not everybody needs a microphone, but listening is very, very useful, it means giving instructions can happen much quicker, and stuff can be called out mid-fight better. If you have never used TS try it beforehand, know the details of the guild server in advance.
Links to how to do this, and server details are found on the forum and guild information tab in game.

During the raid

8. Listen to the raid leader(s), both during instructions and during fighting. Tactics given out might be different to those you have tried in the past, but if everyone follows the leaders tactics then there is a much greater chance of success overall.

9. If you've been there before, feel free to advise new tactics if the one we are using fails, but please be polite about it and /w the raid leader, simply saying "this is easy" is not helpful..nor is /sleeping during instructions that you already know, it's common courtesy to not be rude to others on the raid who may be first timers

10. During the time when the raid leader is giving out instructions, do NOT /dance, /emote, spam in raid chat, or anything else, concentrate on the instructions

11. Marks - The raid leader will assign marks for particular tasks (sheeping, sap, sleep, main target, offtanking etc) and will assign a person to each mark. Please respect these marks and do your job if you have one assigned. Be aware of what each mark means, reapply the sheep/trap etc if necessary, and also trust the person assigned to a mark to do their job (ie mages don’t frost nova a mob if a hunter is trying to get its agro in order to trap it, nobody try to offtank a mob marked up as a shackle)

12. Don’t go afk without telling the raid leader, there will be planned afk sessions regularly

13. If you die on trash fights, ALWAYS release and make your way back, you often can get back before combat is over, and save the time of waiting around to Res + buff you up again. On Boss fights NEVER release, until it is a 100% Garanteed wipe - or you will automatically be missed off the loot table by the game (this is a game mechanic and not one of our rules).

14. Never leave the main group, stay close, never go ahead of the leader/tanks and do not pull a mob unless told to by the leader.

15. Don’t click on random scenery items during a raid, they may spawn mobs etc, the raid leader will be aware of these and will have them "opened" at the appropriate time. If you see something that you are unsure about ask the leader.

16. The data from damage meters or similar mods should not be either asked for or published in raid or party chat, not only do they spam the screen, but (as damage done is not the only useful thing in a raid) they can sometimes be counterproductive to teamwork

Loot

17. Don’t loot during battle, wait until combat has finished, and all party members are up and alive. However appreciate some mistakes will happen with this when in the heat of the battle.

18. Herbs/Skinning/Mining etc - Be fair about these, the raid leader or assigned master looter will organise rolls or other similar fair methods of distributing these items, please respect this.

19. BoP items dropped from boss kills (or trash mobs) will be /rolled on. The person with the highest roll wins the item. Final decision on eligibility for the need roll will be with the raid leader/master looter and will be based on character class only. All BoE Green items in a Raid will automatically be Disenchanted and sent to the Raid Bank - in addition, BoP Boss and Trash drops that aren't need will be treated with in the same way.

Thanks to Akhi for supplying this information :)
