Curves or Levels?

I always see people saying to use curves and blah blah, but levels gives the same effect, and imo is easier to use.

Levels only make everything lighter or darker I think while with curves, you can adjust a certain part of the piece without disturbing other areas, if you do it correctly. So I pick curves, but levels when I want all the shades in my piece to be even. Brightness & Contrast is good to use to.

Thats true, but with curves you need to much testing and stuff while i always get my desired effect with levels in a couple of seconds =0.

Levels is used as a basis to set the main black and white parts (dark and light) in your piece. Levels is harder to use.

Curves is mainly used to adjust that in such you want to arrange contrast in a way i.e. removing contrast from one point in order to move it to another to establish a more focused focal area. Curves is a bit easier to control as you can insert many anchors and points to adjust minute things.

Both used to adjust, readjust, rearrange the contrast in the piece.

depends what i want to change..the brightness/darkness...or i want to change the colors as well
Levels is easier to control, but using curves aloows be to change colors at the same time..easier for me
when i use levels for color changing, its freaky
