I'm here to inform everyone that lately we have been targetted by spam bots. Before it was just several posts a day by these spam bots but now it is getting worse where they can post reply also. So when you see topics or posts with spam bot, please report them to ME, YUNA, or any of the g-mods. Also to remember not to post or reply to their topics. What is a spam bot? :: What I see a spam bot is: It is an automatic message that is created by a program or a hack. They sign up at the forums and target a specific forum or posts. OH and if anyone knows how to fix this spam bot problem, it would be great :] We have tried many things to prevent these bots from posting porn messages, but nothing have worked. So if you know a way or suggestion, please inform me by posting here. |

I remember one site that actually made it so you have to have a certain amount of posts to make a topic. Forgot whether you tried that or not. Admin Validation could also work, depends if yuna's up to that everyday. Can't think of any other ideas. Spam bots usually target heavy traffic sites, so I guess that;s a good thing for RE knowing that this site has a lot of visitors. |

They also know how to replies to topics now. Making it where new members can't post topics would be a disadvantage to them and it might discourage posting. We'll just have to delete these posts as they arrive. |

xD @the loser...yeah we don't know if your a mod or not..i always thought you were just a random loserness person on this weirdo forum..but you have posted in the staff room so you must be a mod i guess 0.o Its weird how these bots work.But yet its so smart... |

never had them before so im not 100% sure this'll work.... and i havnt been here much so whether im wrong or not i dont no. not sure how they work.... first of all, to post they must have an account... y not create a new usergroup and in the permissions make sure there are no ticks.... move the bots account into the usergroup so it can't do anything but get the whole u dont have the permissions to post message... just an idea... |

I dont get it, but wouldn;t that affects any new members as well? wE CAnt tell if the user are bots or not until they post. |
