Off topic Hyper, maybe Asian music sound weird to you cause you don't unserstand it but if you were an Asian or grew up listening to it, it's not weird and besides I bet some people who are non-english speakers thinks american songs sounds weird (mostly refrering to the vocals/lyrics and not the music style and melodies).

I listen to music in other languages besides English. Like: Italian, Spanish, German, and Finnish. I don't understand much of those languages. However, those languages have a nice flow to them (well, maybe not Finnish, but you need something harsh sounding for good Industrial music) A lot of Asian songs it doesn't really roll off your tongue most of the time. So they have to throw in random, many times incoherent, English phrases because their language sucks. The Pillows (The band who did the music for FLCL) has REALLY great guitar work, but then they start singing.... and it's all down hill from there from there. I hate those higher pitched male Asian voices..... SOUNDS HORRIBLE to me, then coupled with an equally bad sounding language, the best guitar player in the world couldn't save them. So they lose the language and start singing in English, and it sounds equally bad because the phrases are really stupid sounding and they lose all emotion in the process, they also don't lose their already horrible voice (referring to the male singers). ...and that is why I hate J(Insert music style here). I don't care what foreigners think of American music, because most of our popular music sucks anyway. Most of my favorite bands aren't from the United States. The Majority of them hail from Europe.

Maybe it doesn't flow to you but to us it does because we grew up with it, maybe if you spoke an our language your PV would change. You can't say a language sucks, there's no such thing. Language is only a way of communication and such, theres no good or bad language. Also I have a question? How many different Asian song have you listen to? To you, it may seem that they sound the same but it's not. Theres like more than 10 different Asian languages. Until you have listened to all of them you shouldn't conclude that Asian Music suck (maybe you didn't say suck, I wasn't paying attention). Vocals are only a portion of music, when you say that Asian music isn't good then you're practically generalizing that the chorus, instrument, verses, bridge, lyrics ect. aren't good as well. You should clarify if thats not what you mean. Basically, you have right to have your opinion but don't say all Asian lanugage suck, and clarify what don't like about it(the music) is it only the voice and flow of the words or everything about it? Cause some people can be offended, Im only alittle offended cause I understand what you mean but Im way open minded (not saying that you aren't im just REALLY) that I can get pass all of the things you dislike. I do agree that Japanese tend to use Engrish but it doesn't mean all other Asian music does, mostly the top mainstream artists like Koda Kumi, Ayumi Hamasaki, Namie Amuro ect.. but not ALL Japanese artist use Engrish.
