Yup, more smudge+c4d.

I'm going to get it right eventually, anybody got a good text tutorial? I can't seem to find one that really tells you how to put good text in sigs.

just to give you a general idea

really a text tutorial is crap since there's an unlimited amount of ways to do proper text.

agreed on the text tutorial thing. As far as the image goes, I think youve got it heading in a great direction if you arent done with it yet. If you are done with it, I still think its pretty cool. good work

There was a really good text tutorial on GR that someone had used one of my tags in b4 but I can't find it anymore because that place is piled up with old topics, and it didn't like just tell you what font to use it told you about text placement so everything flows together and it told you about how elaborate you should make the text on certain styles.

As for the tag there just isn't enough variation and depth in the effects so it looks really flat, and the left side is too dark and doesn't match with the color of the right.(I know the right side is where your light source is but the left side is still way too dark)I like the stock, the colors, and the blending but everything else was just "ok".

Yeah, I read that tutorial. I don't remember it saying much about blending text into the graphics though. People always complain about the font I choose too.

"GAH! THIS FONT SUCKS! GET ARIAL!"

"GAH! ARIAL SUCKS FOR THIS SIG! GO OVER TO DAFONT.COM AND GET A BETTER FONT!"

"DAFONT.COM IS FOR FAGGETS!"

You just can't win, lol.

I don't think I can really put much more in there, nothing blends well into the left side, I made it a bit too dark. Things blend real well with the right, but I don't want one side to have a whole bunch of doo-dads and the other side be real plain. So, I'm pretty much stuck on this sig, I'll just leave it alone unless something pops in my head to do to it.

Oh, and Zack, here's the orginal:

I don't know, this looks bland and mildly detailed at the same time. On another note, chief is spelled chief.
