I AM LILIAN Posts: 6,179 Group: Global Moderator Member #1,064 Joined: March 9, 2006	Things that I see in other people's graphics that I am sick/tired of: -Scriptina: thats font is too overused...and boring...the loops are too big in that font -Carpenter: The font is way too hard to read...even though its nice what about you guys?

It's not even a "signature" just a image you put in your signature. The word Tag. Wtf is that? No it's not anything special it's just a freaking rectangle, thinking up of special names for these things.. Renders..i guess game renders made them have the name "renders" regardless, they are still stocks. Render means to make, and i don't see what your making in these taking out background of the picture and whatnot. Yeah overused fonts, overused borders and whatnot. They all annoy me. It's why i quit this stupid pointless rectangle making..You'll end up making another one that will replace your current one, and then rinse and repeat. It's pointless. If i would ever do anything graphic wise, it would be for a school project and or a Large Peice, Large Peice Collabs.

I agree with almost everything,but about the tags,I always viewed it like when someone writes graffiti on a wall and they say that they "tagged" it it the same thing you put into your signature except each time you do it you get better and better and improve your logo or your "tag",that is why everyone finds it fun because they like to improve with the programs they use and get complimented on it,and then they share all they have learned through tutorials,just like you would learn better versions of math through a math book,so would you learn better versions of GFX through a GFX tutorial.

My collage style isnt really commonly accepted as a signature/tag style I guess, because I think too many people view signature.tag as more of a abstract/3d rectangle piece with renders... and when I do a different style...people start to say its too busy... and I wonder if the common style of tags/siggys could really be used for bigger pieces without being too empty... I try to do more styles..and use several styles on a piece...without being it called "busy"... gosh, I am ranting on and on I despise scanlines...to me, they are pointless...they sometimes make your work seem low quality

But also I like the Tag name because it shows your style. Like hey I wuz here..... What annoys me in graphics? I guess I would have to say the tediousness. Doesnt matter what im doing just sometimes it feels like im doing the same thing over and over agian( even when im not lol). Although, it doesnt keep me from doing em hehe.

Do you expect everyone to have 3ds max, Cinema 4d, tablets, Corel Painter, Prismacolor markers, good camera, etc...? The only thing I'm sick of are people saying stuff like "trendy this...trendy that" I could really care less if a signature is very "trendy". If it looks good, it's good in my book. If you try something new and it looks bad, you're not going to get a cookie from me just because you "tried" something new. Anyone can try new things. The hard part is making it work.

It annoys me to see renders on other signatures because the image is not made by you, therefore, it's not even yours. Which is why none of my stuff now have renders. I don't even make sigs anymore. They just seem pointless.

It kind of works for cut outs of video games, and c4d renders are exactly that, but you do not render a photograph of Carmen Electra. You CROP Carmen Electra out of a photograph. So we should all be saying "Crop" or "Stock" not "Render" for these things. Although I even catch myself referring to the focal point as a "Render" sometimes when I really shouldn't be calling it that, just because everyone knows what I'm referring to. Well, I kind of feel guilty for making these Internet Collages, so I'm going to learn c4d and make my own renders, which people are free to steal and use in their internet collages and I won't care. I also don't really use photoshop for GFX. That's a job for Illustrator, Flash, and other programs like that. I generally use it for it's intended purpose, improving photographs.
