I got a lot of requests for a filtering tutorial...so here it is!!!A quick 5minute tut on the basics of FILTERING!WHHEEEE!!*clap clap* First, I start off with a simple banner I made: ![]() ^See how simple it is?it was made only with a stock picture with some coloring tweaks. Then I duplicate the layer(Ctrl+J) and motion blur the TOP layer ![]() Then I use a soft rounded eraser to erase parts I dont like like this(I chose to hide the visiblity for you to see better) ![]() AND here comes the EASY filtering part!!! ![]() and I ended up with this after some coloring tweaks with color balance: ![]() and TA DAH!My final result: ![]() Easy?No?Awwww... Tut made for RealGFX by Lilian(Miss. Housewife) |

how do you know which parts to erase? and...when I twirl, it always twirls from the center, so i can't make it twirl from the head, as in your example. Thanks Lil for the tut by the way. *hugs* |

^ From the example I think you would want to erase the dark areas. If you don't want it to be in the center just simply grab the move tool and move it to the side and erase some excess area...I think. |

yeah..it will twirl from the center...you can always move the top layer..and then twirl it there... I usually earse the colors that I dont like...or dont flow well, like Vina said..usually the darker areas you can always blot some colors before motion blurring please ask if you have anymore questions,Kathy-dearie |

^you can always use the free tranform feature...just click the move icon, and check"show transform boundaries"...and then drap the bottom right or left corner down slanted...that should make it bigger |
