Here is another text tutorial By threat54 of real emotion: First open your document once again make it to where u have a little bit of space. Now type your text whatevr size and make it a thick font although it works on thin fonts, it works and looks best on a thick font like elephant or impact. once you have typed your text please apply these settings to your text: BEVEL AND EMBOSS: Bevel Settings CONTOUR: Contour Settings STROKE: FOR THE STROKE PLZ EXPRIMENT AND MAKE SURE U DONT PUT THE STROKE SIZE TOO MUCH BECAUSE IT WILL TURN INTO A DARK GREEN COLOR AND WE DONT WANT THAT!!!! Stroke Settings Gradient colors for the stroke: ![]() Ok this is the first result: ![]() now theres some stuff you may add to make it look better: here is one: you can make it look glossy First make a new layer then hold ctrl and click on your text layer. this will select your text so it should look like this right now: ![]() now once u have done this press d to resest your default colors and make sure white is on top. Make a new layer and choose your ellipse tool and cover the top half of your text like so: ![]() Now deselect by pressing ctrl+D and go to your blending options of the new layer u just made the ellipse with and put the opacity to whatever you like but i put mine at about 25% it should look like this: ![]() Now theres another option to make your text look unique: you can do this option with or without the gloss effect that i just showed you. for this part you will select your text again by holding ctrl and clicking on your text layer.now make a new layer and pick the custom shape tool and choose the grid shape. the grid shape looks like this in your options bar: ![]() now while your text is selected make black the top color and use your custom shape tool which should be the grid and dash it over your text to make lines. mine came out like this: with gloss: ![]() Without Gloss: ![]() HERES HOW IT SHOULDN'T LOOK: ![]() if it looks like that^ then your stroke size is way too high try lowering it. there you go this tutorial brought to you by threat54 and sponsered by real emotion. hope you like it and feel free to ask any questions |
