Tutorial For: Adobe Photoshop 7+ Tutorial By: xYunaxFantasiesX Tutorial Difficulty: 5/10 1.Make a new document 400x400 filled black. (Edit>fill>black) 2.filter > render > clouds 3.filter > > render > difference clouds 4.hit ctrl+I to invert 5.hit ctrl+L and use these settings: http://img295.imageshack.us/img295/1087/s33in.jpg You should get something like this afterward: http://img295.imageshack.us/img295/8546/s12wy.jpg 6.Select your rectangular marquee tool and select a section of the lightning you want,then edit>copy http://img295.imageshack.us/img295/811/s25wy.gif 7.Make new document 400x400 8.Fill it with black 9.Edit > paste: http://img295.imageshack.us/img295/3797/s45bf.jpg 10. Layer>Merge Visible then layer>new>layer from background 11.Select the magic wand tool and click somewhere on the black background 12.Right-click select inverse (Keep it selected) http://img295.imageshack.us/img295/8482/s54gr.jpg 13.Open the image you want to add lightning to, copy the lightning layer and paste it to the image 14. Set the Lightning layer's blend mode to Pin Light. (right-click on layer>blending options) http://img295.imageshack.us/img295/4016/s78dy.jpg 15. With the lightning layer selected select the background eraser tool(right click on the eraser>background earaser) 16. Erase the black and gray areas around the lightning (make sure your on the lightnig layer) http://img295.imageshack.us/img295/5991/s88nd.jpg Note:To add more lighting layers simply paste more of the selection or if you want a different lightining shape follow the steps on making the lightning again. 17.Duplicate the background layer (your image) and set the opacity to 85% (In the layer palette) 18. Make a new layer layer>new>layer and edit>fill>white, set opacity to 25% 19. File>edit in Imageready 20. Make 10 frames: http://img295.imageshack.us/img295/9042/s94ne.jpg 21. On the first and second frame in the layer palette (palette located at bottom left hand corner) disable the eyes looks like this: ![]() 22. On the third and fourth frame enable all the eyes on the layer palette like this: ![]() 23. On the 5th frame disable them all except the background layer ![]() 24. On the 6th frame enable the white filled, first lightning, and background layer like this: ![]() 25. On the 7th frame disable all the eyes except for the background like this: ![]() 26. On the 8th frame enable the white filled, the second lightning, and background layer: ![]() 27. On frames 9 and 10 disable them all except the background layer ![]() 28. For the frames without lightning in them set a delay of 0.2 second and for the ![]() My final result:

You mean the whtie layer isn't transparent? Did you set the opacity to 20%? And what square are you talking about? |
