Tutorial Difficulty: 2/10

This tutorial will teach you how to do a animated scan bars.

1. Open up you signature or banner document.

2. Make a new layer Layer>New>Layer

3. Make a rectangular selection using the rectangular tool(make sure your on the new layer not the background) like this:

3.Right-click>fill with the color of your desire.

5.Right-click>deselect

6. Make a new frame:

7. On the second frame click on the rectangular layer, select the move tool and move the rectangle to the bottom:

8.While the second frame is selected click the tween button and use these settings:

8. Now go back all the way to frame one. Make a new frame (refer to step 6 if don't know how).

9. Take the new frame and drag it all the way to the end so that it is now the last frame.

10. Now that the last frame is selected tween it. (refer to step 8 if don't know how.)

Optional: You can add some effect to the scan bar by right click on the layer>Layer Style>blending options and add whatever.
Optional: you can also change the opacity for more effect. Make sure your on the first frame when adding effects!

You should not put too many animation and a signature or else the file will be too big and it will look messy.

Your two frame should have a black rectangle on them. On the first frame the black rectangle should be at the top and then on the second frame the black rectangle should be on the bottom. Tween it.

:) wonderful tut.

I did this one and I did it all right, but when I got to save I can only save as a PSD file to keep the animation. Can I open the image with the anim. in photoshop then save it? And which file should I save it as?

You have to go to file>>Save optimitize as>>.gif format
No you can't open it in animation shop.
