Im making a wallpaper for my forum since this is so easy I decided to make a tutorial for it. You can also use this for textures or make brushes out of them.

1. Make a new document and fill it black.

2. Go to Filter>Render>Clouds

3. Go to Filter>Render>Difference Clouds

4.CTRL+I to Invert

5.CRT+L to pop up the levels.

6.Change the setting to this:

7.CTRL+U to colorize (I used blue)check the colorize box above preview:

I never knew that it could be that easy.....It looked harder about 2 years ago...that was before I got Photoshop though so it might have helped....lol

This is the best lightning effect tut I've ever seen. All the ones I've read are long and involve many confusing steps. :wacko:

Yeah this is pretty nice,and easy. But it dosen't actually look like lightning, it's more electricity. :o
