After a hard fought battle with Hanibal, The Rookie sits on a chair, in the POW Locker room in 1st Mariner Arena Baltimore, Maryland looking disgusted after his debuting loss. Cameras focus on The Rookie as he speaks. The Rookie: 6 years ago, I had my first match, and I came out victorious when the odds where against me. Tonight, the odds were against me again and I came up short by a punk ass move that I should have thought twice to avoid. Although, I did take my first "L" in the POW that doesn’t make me want to quit, stop wrestling, or any of that because The Rookie isn’t a sore loser. It’s like I said I’ve had my battles and I’ve took some loses along the way, but losing doesn’t make you a loser it just makes you a wiser wrestler. The Rookie stands up from the chair, and grabs a towel from his locker and wraps it around his neck. He continues to speak as he paces around the locker room. The Rookie: My first match here at POW and I didn’t come out victorious…man I have to say that I just not use to debuting somewhere and not making an instant impact. You know what though, it’s a first time for everything and honestly I am not here crying, bitching, or complaining. This lost didn’t do anything to me but make me a stronger wrestler. The Rookie: Yeah, I came out of a hiatus to re-enter the ring, and to show the world and the POW who I am. I am sure a lot of guys back here think that I am a bit rusty around the edges compared to how I was years back, but with time you become a lot wiser. Although the result of my debuting match wasn’t what I expected doesn’t mean I am going to just be the "Fuck-boy of the POW". One lost isn’t going to break me down. Hell, everyone takes a fall, but now that my fall is said and done, its time to prove really what I am made of. The Rookie sits back down on the chair The Rookie: Now that that’s over and done with, let me say this….Hanibal your talent in the ring is just what my trainer said, "We both have the same god given talent". But you happen to be the better wrestler tonight, however you haven’t heard or seen the last of me, and that’s all I am say on that note. The Rookie: I stand here, a man, who knows what he can do in the ring, and I stand here a man who has the talent to become an "Eyebrow Raising superstar" In the POW, and I will not stop at what I am here to do for nothing, and please bet on that! Camera fades black after the rookie walks away from the vision of the Camera |
