A pair of teams trying to avoid their third straight loss will meet Tuesday in Columbus, as the Blue Jackets host the Ottawa Senators at Nationwide Arena. Geneo Grissom Patriots Jersey . Viewers in the Ottawa region can catch all the action starting at 7pm ET/4pm PT on TSN5 or listen on TSN Radio 1200 Ottawa. Columbus is just 2-4-0 since beginning 2014-15 with two straight wins and the club dropped games this past weekend in Anaheim and Los Angeles to go 1-3-0 on a four-game road trip. The Blue Jackets hope a brief two-game homestand against Ottawa and Toronto can help them get back on track. The Senators, meanwhile, have lost both of their games since last Wednesdays scheduled home meeting against Toronto was postponed until Nov. 9. The game was scrapped after a Canadian soldier was shot and killed Wednesday morning in downtown Ottawa while standing guard at the National War Memorial. Ottawa carried a four-game winning streak into Saturdays home test against New Jersey, but dropped a 3-2 overtime decision before losing 2-1 at Chicago on Sunday. The Senators fired 33 shots on net against the Blackhawks, but Scott Darling stopped all but one of them to earn the victory in an impressive NHL debut. Milan Michalek tallied Ottawas lone marker and Craig Anderson stopped 43- of-45 shots for the Senators. I thought our goaltender played well, said Senators head coach Paul MacLean. We lost, so were disappointed, but at the same time we should be able to take some positives out of it. Ottawa is 2-2-0 as the visiting team this season. The Sens will host a rematch against Chicago on Thursday after capping its two-game road trip tonight. The Senators are 1-0 against the Blue Jackets this season, posting a 3-2 regulation victory when Columbus visited Ottawa on Oct. 18. Ottawa has claimed two straight and four of the last five meetings overall and has won its last two tilts at Nationwide Arena. Columbus lost the final two tilts on its recent road trip by a combined 9-3 margin, losing 4-1 to the Ducks on Friday before dropping a 5-2 decision Sunday in Los Angeles. The Blue Jackets led 1-0 after 20 minutes against the Kings, but L.A. scored the next three goals to take the lead for good. Tim Erixon and Mark Letestu scored the goals for Columbus, while Sergei Bobrovsky was touched for five goals on 27 shots. Bobrovsky was placed on injured reserve after fracturing a finger during practice on Monday. The clubs No. 1 netminder is expected to miss 1-to-2 weeks with the injury. Curtis McElhinney will get the start in net tonight and Anton Forsberg was recalled from Springfield of the American Hockey League to serve as the backup. Sundays game also featured a scary incident when Columbus forward Nick Foligno was taken off the ice on a stretcher, but the injury was later diagnosed as a stinger and Foligno could play in tonights game. Foligno was hurt in the third period while battling Los Angeles Jeff Carter for a puck along the boards, Folignos head appeared to hit Shane Heyers hip as the linesman tried to avoid the play by leaping onto the dasher. Foligno underwent a precautionary x-ray in Los Angeles and had an MRI exam on Monday in Columbus. All results were negative. The 26-year-old Foligno is questionable for Tuesday, but he did not partake in the morning skate. He has three goals and six assists in eight games this season. Columbus forward Matt Calvert was placed on injured reserve Monday after sustaining an upper-body injury in Fridays loss to the Ducks. Calvert, who expects to miss a week, has one goal and an assist through seven games this season. The Blue Jackets recalled rookie forward Alexander Wennberg from Springfield of the American Hockey League to fill the roster spot. It was one of the few pitches the Giants slugger guessed wrong on, and the last one from Nolasco he let get by. Morse hit a bases-loaded double on Nolascos next offering -- one of three doubles by San Franciscos first baseman -- helping the Giants to an 8-1 win over the Twins on Sunday that completed a three-game sweep. http://www.superbowl49patriotsonline.com/malcom-brown-patriots-jersey/ .C. - Nick Merkley and Damon Severson each had a goal and two assists as the Kelowna Rockets downed the visiting Seattle Thunderbirds 6-3 on Saturday in Western Hockey League playoff action. AUBURN, Ala. -- Billy Donovan cautioned his Florida Gators before the game not to assume Casey Prather would instantly return to form after a two-game layoff. Prather scored 16 of his 21 points in the first half in his comeback from a badly bruised right knee and helped No. 7 Florida survive a scare from Auburn in a 68-61 victory on Saturday. Donovans warning proved unnecessary. "That rule went out the window after the first half, when he had 16," the coach said. "He was clearly going to play a lot more since he played so well. "Im not so sure if hes hurt again this game, that this is a game we could pull out." Prather made eight of 10 shots for the Gators (15-2, 4-0 Southeastern Conference), who have won nine straight games and eight in a row at Auburn (8-7, 0-4). Donovan said Prather looked just OK in practice Thursday with no contact, but fared better the day before the game. "He was like, When you come back to practice, are you going to baby it or are you going to play?" Prather said. "I said I was going to play." Tahj Shamsid-Deen hit a jump shot with 1:59 left to cut Floridas lead to 62-61, but Scottie Wilbekin answered with a fadeaway jumper. "We didnt really have anything going on that possession," Wilbeken said. "My first drive, I didnt have anything so I tried to give it to Casey Prather coming around behind me. His man denied him, so I had to make another move and I just made it." Wilbekin, who scored 16 points, made two of four free throws over the final 48 seconds. Patric Young blocked KT Harrells attempt to bring Auburn to within two points in between those trips to the line. Kasey Hill made two late free throws for the final margin. Young scored 13 for Florida, which outrebounded Auburn 31-23. Chris Denson, the SECs leading scorer, had 15 of his 21 points in the second half to help keep the Tigers close. Harrell added 18 points and made 4 of 7 3-pointers. Allen Payne finished with 11 points. &quoot; They made the plays down the stretch and we didnt," Auburn coach Tony Barbee said. Custom Patriots Jersey. Auburn has lost its first four SEC games by a combined 23 points. The Tigers have dropped their last 14 against league teams overall. The Gators, who lost a 13-point lead in the first half, made 21 of 39 shots (53.8 per cent). Florida made 23 of 33 free throws while Auburn was 14 of 22. The Tigers point guards, Shamsid-Deen and Malcolm Canada, both fouled out. Prather got right into his offensive rhythm after the layoff. He came in with 16:58 remaining, hit two quick jump shots and made his first five attempts, including a fast-break dunk off a nice bounce pass from Hill. The Gators reeled off a 14-1 run for a 23-10 lead while the Tigers missed their first 10 attempts from inside the 3-point line. Walk-on Alex Thompson finally scored on a putback 13 minutes into the game for Auburns first basket since making a third consecutive 3-pointer with 14:28 left in the half. Auburn hit all five of its 3-point attempts in the first half and finished 7 of 13. Despite Prathers surge, the Gators barely led at halftime. Wilbekin made two free throws with 3 seconds left to give Florida a 33-32 halftime lead. Auburn had scored 14 consecutive points to briefly take the lead. "Florida has the best defence I have ever seen," said Denson, adding that the Gators altered a number of shots. "I was the one in the first half that missed a lot of layups, but I think it was a little bit of nerves. Playing the No. 7 team in the country, and I was just anxious. We got the nerves out and then started getting in the grooves offensively." Florida pushed the lead as high as 48-40 in the first seven minutes after the half, but couldnt pull away. Auburn announced before tipoff that reserve guard Chris Griffin has left school and is transferring. Griffin averaged 5.7 points in seven games as a junior before he was indefinitely suspended for violating school policy on Jan. 11. cheap jerseys cheap jerseys cheap nfl jerseys Ray Ban Outlet Michael Kors Outlet Michael Kors Sale Cheap Michael Kors ' ' ' |
