I've seen some pretty interesting usernames while browsing the forum, and I often wondered what some of the different ones meant, or why particular people chose those specific usernames. Rather than ask them individually, I thought it might be cool to explore what our usernames each mean to us (if anything). My username was initially inspired by the show Ghost Whisperer. I thought the name sounded really cool, and initially it was a new account that I had made on Neopets (xxghost_whispererxx I mean, though that account is iced now.) Anyway, the only reason I really chose it for this site was because I was too lazy at the time to make a new signature and instead resized an image I had used as a userlookup on Neopets, which had my username on it from Neopets. x3 Not all that exciting, hahaha. If I could change it (and I know I can, so I suppose I should say /if I chose to change it/) I'd probably make it something different and cooler xP |

Fire Soul! ...Couldn't help it. My username came from my favorite senshi's first attack and a number that somehow got associated with me. I personally really like it. Go Rei!

My nickname 'Jelle' is just a shortened version of my real name. And I added girl behind it because Jelle is a real name over here, a boy's name in fact. And if I just told people my name was Jelle, everyone assumed I was a boy. XD; |

flamesoul32;; It does make sense that yours comes from Rei, considering your avatar picture and everything :) Pneddhao;; Oh wow, your screenname is so different from "Brittney"! Jellegirl;; Oh wow, Jelle's a boys name where you are? I can honestly say I've never heard any name remotely close to it where I'm at :P but that makes perfect sense XD It's cool seeing where all these names came from. Pneddhao is one I DEFINITELY would never guess >< Since I've never even heard of Al Bhed o.O I feel so isolated from the world x3 |

Ooh, this is cute... Rumn is from when I had a Pokemon game and decided to call all my pokemon misspelt pirate terms... And Rumn kinda stuck. I don't actually like rum all that much, might have a tiny bit with coke occasionally - But I like Rumn as a girl's name, it's kind of cute once you get over the rum reference. (You also say it the same way, silent n)And snuffles is a variation on snuffpot, which is my normal username... Which comes from doing Harry Potter character quizzes in year 7 -- I kept getting Sirius Black (aka SNUFFles in GOF) and Harry POTter, so they kinda combined to make snuffpot. And snuffles is of course just part of the original nickname... And since the original nickname tends to be seen as a drug reference I decided to a variation on my normal snuffpot and use Rumn-Snuffles on here! Although I still use snuffpot almost everywhere else

YAY, HARRY POTTER! XD I think that's cool! I don't drink at all so I couldn't tell you if I like rum xD I'm not quite of legal age yet in Canada anyway, buuut I had some bad experiences where I tried to share my moms coke only to learn she HAD rum in it. Or the time I went to drink what I thought was SunnyD but was really whiskey in a SunnyD container which if I recall correctly was to try and help my dad get rid of his cold, some old wives tale or something. Yuck, regardless. Rumn as a girls name is actually pretty cool :) I never even thought of it being connected to rum as in, the drink. |

Yay! I really didn't pick up the name Rumn for sounding like 'Rum' I just thought it sounded cute - I have a bit of a hobby of making new names that aren't connected to current ones... But still making them sound cool as names. Quite fun.And in year 7 I thought it was too weird, but it caught on a little while later... And yeah, it's quiiite bad-tasting, most alcohol... In Australia like half of your year level will start partying/drinking regularly at about 16... Legal age is 18 (which I am, by the way). So there's lots of people being stupid about it. I personally think it's good to try, but it is really bad for you to have too much before you're in your early 20s... But anyway, it's an acquired taste, definitely. At first I couldn't stand any and it just grew on me (Mum would give me some champagne or wine when she was drinking it)... But I still rarely drink. And some of my friends don't drink at all, nothing wrong with that. Just if/when you start, don't overdo it . But there's tons of remedies involving alcohol... Whenever she has a cold Mum has hot red wine... and you just breath in the steam. Oh, and if you ever get a cut alcohol's always a good disinfectant. So it does come in handy Ok, end rant. The moral is: don't drink, kids.

My name is a shortened version of my middle-name Eleonora. I like that name a lot, and I like Eleo even better cause it's sort of gender-ambiguous, which I find nice. |
