Something that's always bugged me in the manga (because of how some people are about it) is the fact that when we see the Sailor Soldiers as they are in Crystal Tokyo, they are in their first forms, not their Eternal forms like they should be. I would like to have them be in their Eternal forms when seen to match canon. They weren't that way in the manga simply because at the time that Naoko made the manga, she did not plan on the story continuing and she'd later make different forms. \\ How does everyone feel about that? |

i like the idea! I always hated in the dub how we would look into the future and see them EXACTLY THE SAME as we left them... but if you decided to keep them in the normal forms I think the explanation could easily be found in the fact that maybe they didn't need to be in their eternal forms at all times, or maybe it was some sort of time warping alternate universe thing O.o... But yea, I would say that it's best to put them in their eternal forms... |

Well, I always thought it was 'cos they were pretty young.... and maybe hadn't fought tough enough enemies to have to upgrade yet... I mean, they were the princess's guardians while the actual guarding was done by Queen Serenity... right? I thought they were kinda still growing up with the princess... which is another reason they were bad at stopping the whole & thing...EDIT: I'm talking about the past here, though... If you mean the future, then definitely with the eternal forms... Although it still raises questions about how eternal senshi in 's time couldn't beat what the R-stage senshi could...

Yes, I mean in the future. ^^ In all fairness, the future Soldiers were like nuked by Black Crystal power. LOL |

I'm voting for yes, but I don't know, I always thought the reason why they didn't have upgrades, like super or eternal in the future had to do with that pink spore, er, "Small Lady", coming to the past and changing stuff thereby making her future more of an alternative thing rather than what was going to happen to the present senshi. I have to reread the manga for examples of what I mean here, but take the anime's Holy Grail/Moon Cup. Chibi-Annoying remembers seeing it in the future yet it was destroyed/absorbed/written out during the final battle of the S season. and another issue, with the whole Super Form thing in the anime, was that Chibiusa's gross horse love brought on the Upgrade. Erm, my point is, the time travel likely had consequences to what happens later. who knows, if they hadn't open that door, who's to say that they would've upgraded beyond Planet Powers? (Or Star power for that matter, since they only got planet powers thanks to the Neo Queen which is yet another annoying time parodox) Of course, there's no evidence to confirm or deny what I think and time travel always leaves these holes which is why I do so hate it as a story device (and probably why I never like the chibibrat in the first place). For simplicity's sake, I'll just side with the eternal forms, but yeah, Rumm-Muffles point will still be there, if they are Eternal it'll just seem like they could've done more than just get all defeated and have the senshi, 3 levels behind them save the freaking day. So I'll still believe if that in Chibi-Usa's timeline they just never got there. |

I always thought that the reason that the future senshi didn't seem to do as much to the Black Moon Family as they probably could was because they had knowledge of what happened in the past. They already lived through the events once and did not want to change them in a negative way. In the end all I really have to say is that time parodox's give me a headache and go talk to Pluto. ...and I say yes on the Eternal form.

For sanity's sake, I think it's better to just assume that events happened the same way. XD Like, there was no separate time line. Though I do love alternate time lines. : 3 You just might see one in the game...

Agreed. Go Eternal forms!! I remember even in the Stars arc (Manga), when Chibiusa goes back to the 30th century, and Pluto is talking to the queen, she was in her..the form with the heart broch. LOL I was confused. Basically time traveling makes things complicated ;] |

I also agree, Eternal forms seem the best choice! Never understood why Naoko showed the 30th century Soldiers in their Super forms by the beggining of the Stars Arc. Wasn't there some time-related theory about this around the net? Oh, by the way, Chains... If you finally go for the Eternal forms, does it mean the future Soldiers will be wearing such uniforms in the 2nd Arc too? I think they definitely should, regarding coherence!
