I'm not really sure what to post in these :) I guess I can start with the fact that I have never *le gasp!* seen the original version of Sailor Moon, nor read the Manga. I know, I know... how can I call myself a fan? D= But hey, if someone can become a fan of this show from the North American dub, which from as I've heard (and from research..) has brutally been butchered... not to mention some things even bother ME, particularly watching it again so many years later - then it can only be official that the show, manga, and everything in relation to it, must therefore be amazing. I'll probably check out the original online if my area ever gets highspeed, or if I move and get it =D (Which is likely what will happen first.) Minor things about me... ummm, I wanted to attempt making my own Sailor Moon RPG and accidentally came across this site? Saw it's amazing-ness and decided I'd still make an RPG... but not Sailor Moon ^^;; And I'll probably waste the next couple of years of my life working on it. Sad, really xD Uh, I play the flute. I'm in 12th grade and have been playing since 7th =D I'm pretty good, I'm not like... stand-out amazing, I suppose, but I'm more than capable. I'm a band geek/music freak, and I love video games probably a lot more than what is healthy. Oh, and I type exceptionally fast so I have a tendency of typing lots. I apologize in advance if I ever annoy anyone for it, heh. ![]() Oh and my name is Jess. I don't expect anyone to remember it, so no hard feelings ;D But I thought I could say it anyway. Well, that's it for me =D Aside from... I'm very excited for this game, as much as any veteran to this forum ;) I don't know if there's anything I could do to help, but if something ever came up, I'd be more than willing to try =D Or help hunt down someone who could xD Though of course at this point, there's probably not much left :) BUT THE OFFER STANDS. In the meantime, I'm going to attempt doing my own game. If I ever get an idea for it xD Nice to meet everyone officially =D

Nice to have you on the forums, Jess! So... welcome and stuff! =D You're probably not the only one who has only seen the dubs, although the majority of people prefer the japanese... I've seen both! Multiple times. Good luck making that RPG too! Any idea what it will be about, since it's not sailor moon now? |

Ooh yay for not being alone on the dub thing then, heh. I dunno, for as annoying as I know the dub is, it'll probably always be my favourite even if I watch the original/read the manga and think... wow, these are so much better. I mean, I first watched Sailor Moon when I was four. Then again when I was twelve (I remember distinctly thinking, oh God, Sailor Moon is on YTV ALL THE TIME. It's so stupid. And then one day I was so bored I had to watch something. And it was the episode, dunno what it is in the manga/original anime, where Darien *forget his original name...* is trying to fight Zoicite for the rainbow crystals and Serena *Usagi* finds out that he's Tuxedo Mask *Tuxedo Kamen? I'm a bit rough on the Japanese names as its been FOREVER since I actually learned them. Anyway, it became like... the most epic episode in my mind, ever.) and I just got obsessed again. No idea whatsoever. I might end up writing it as a story, first, since I love writing, and then if I've brushed up on some game making skills, I can incorporate it into the game that way. I'm a huge Final Fantasy fan *pokes signature LOVE FINAL FANTASY VIII hehe.* and Zelda, but I think if I wanted to make an RPG I'd want it to have more of a contemporary feel. Like, cities or something. I'm going to brush up on my pixel drawing skills though =D I haven't done anything like that in... wow, a long long time heh. EDIT: By the way, I saw your profile - I AM FREAKING IN LOVE WITH TWILIGHT. It's my most favourite thing in the universe, tied with Final Fantasy and Sailor Moon naturally ;D Edited by soulisthirsty, Jan 15 2009, 09:39 PM.

Welcome to the forum! Nice to have more videogame lovers (especially Zelda and Final Fantasy) on. And btw, lots of people have seen their own countrys dub, (I've watched the swedish a lot) so all experiences are quite mixed. But if I were you I'd try downloading the manga (it can't be bought in stores anymore, except for secondhand comic stores = rare) cuz it's TONS more epic than the anime... ...which of course is still epic, but it's more like 15 episode of fillers and pointless jokes about Sailor Moon beig a stupid crybaby, then 2-3 episodes of some serious epicness... and then back again =( but whatever, welcome to the forum and let's all drown in the moonie-ness. |

Final Fantasy and Zelda are amazing :D The first FF game I ever played was FFVIII which probably explains why it's my favourite. Never played FFVII yet, I know it's supposed to be amazing but the storyline from what I've heard doesn't sound too fantastic so I guess I'm putting it off. I've been thinking about checking out the manga; there's probably lots of spots to read it online in general, let alone download it. And I don't doubt it wouldn't be in stores anymore, particularly here. The part of Canada I'm in I can't really ever find anything. 'Course, living in a small town doesn't help... when I was in Niagra Falls the one summer, I found some manga called "Saint Marie" and found it awesome, it was the first time I had found any D= I need to go to Toronto more, heh. |

I like final fantasy and zelda too! I can never finish any final fantasy games though... ^-^; Zelda's easier though. And since I always get distracted half way through games then forget about them, I can't follow the FF storyline... I should put some more effort into those, heh. You can get the manga on amazon.com, I think. I mean, if I could find the Sailor V manga on there (even more rare) then I bet Sailor Moon would be on it somewhere. Or just read it on onemanga or something. |

Ahh, the internet. Is there anything it isn't good for? ^_^ I used to be like that too, with the Final Fantasy games I mean. I got an SNES emulator and played the real old school FF games, though the numbering system is really confusing because it got messed up when it was brought overseas or something. Final Fantasy VIII is epic, though =D So adorable. Like, a guy whose sort of a loner, trains most of his life to become a SeeD (like a mercenary) and his first mission involves helping a girl who previously forces him to dance with her at this inauguration ball. Only stuff doesn't go according to plan and all hell breaks loose as unexpected events unravel. AND NATURALLYYYYY, they fall in love. AWWW. ...yeah. I'm sad; I know. But it's really cute and probably the only reason why I was able to make it through this game at all. Then again, I'm a lot better at games now because of games like this (Or the Chrono games.) =D |

Oooh, clarinet, niceee! I played clarinet for about a week back in tenth grade xD We had to switch instruments with a friend in the class. (My friend totally cheated, though. I had taught her to play flute already and I had to learn clarinet from scratch.) This is my fifth year of flute, I think. I picked it because of the doom tree season in the North American Dub - I wanted to learn how to play Alan's flute song ;D (Never ever did, though.) And thanks! :D I've been reading pretty much everything game-related that I can get my hands on here and figured instead of being a lurker, I'd join the forums as a member xD Lurking just seems so... creep-like. |

I've definitely already begun :D And have been obsessively reading through old messages, checking out all the cool updates (even if old - to me, they're new. Which is kinda cool. I get them all at once, whereas older members had to wait ;D Haha ohhh, drums, very nice. The closest to percussion I got was during a song one of my music teachers had us play. There was no woodwinds in it, so I had to like... use an egg shaker and hit the suspended cymbol. xD Pretty easy stuff. Our school doesn't have a marching band but we had the concert band, which can be fun. We're supposed to be able to go to regionals and then nationals this year, but I quit band for the year. Our teachers gotten like... old-minded since she had her second kid, and instead of it being fun, its like a chore. Kinda sucks. But I'll be sure to ask if I have any questions :D Thanks for the warm welcome :) No one can ever say Sailor Moon fans are mean xD (Or at least not the ones on here.) |

Thanks so much xD It's actually a shrunken version of a layout I have, I didn't feel like looking for new FF8 pics or making my own screenshots like I did for this banner, so I just shrank it and edited it a bit so it wouldn't mess up the forum. And I love doing graphics & web design =D |
