I played Rei's chapter in Another Story yesterday (I'm up to Venus now) but I was wondering when Faregg revealed that he was just a creation of prayers resembling Jedeite it sounded so similar to Tidus from Final Fantasy X like Tidus was a dream from the Fayth (Fayth is like these spirit things) and that he was created from a guy named Shuyin (fan theory) who was born in Zanarkand a thousand years ago (which had turned to ruins). And I was like WHAT? OMG its the same thing lol!

If you played Final Fantasy X you would know but yeah did Square borrow this element into their story? XDD

In all fairness, Zanarkand as Tidus knew it was all a dream, not just him. XD

A "being" created from dreams/wishes/memories etc. is not a new concept. It's been used many times, probably has some sort of mythological roots. I can give you another place that used it, although it was memories rather than dreams. It was in Harry Potter.

SPOILER

In Harry Potter: The Chamber of Secrets, the second book in the series, the "Voldemort" that appeared in that book was a entity giving birth from the memories held within a magical diary. And before you say one was inspired by another, I'm pretty sure Rowling never played, possibly knew nothing about, Sailor Moon: Another Story (It's never been translated!) or Final Fantasy X. (Had it even been released in JAPAN yet?)
