NEW STYLE (LEG STYLE A and LEG STYLE B)
Posted Image

OLD STYLE (For quick reference)
Posted Image

After some experimentation I came up with a new, (slightly) larger sprite style. Whether or not I transition all the old sprites into this style and use it instead is entirely up to you guys. I do however have my reasons why the new style should be used:

1)They'll be easier to see
2) Increasing the width by one pixel allows me to fit things perfectly like the tiaras and broaches. In the old style I'm forced to make things either take up two pixels or have them go to one side. Also, the Dark Moon villains look like they have unibrows in the old style because of this. XD
3) Increasing the height by one pixel allows me to have more eye detail and show more face details on the sprites

Oh and spriters who help me, don't have a heart attack, I'll be edting all the old sprites myself if the new style is kept. :3

I'd have to say that leg style B looks best. There isn't much difference between the old sprites and the new sprites, so if it makes it work better, then why not use it? Leg style A looks a little weird, though...

I will repeat what I said in the Sailor Moon Forum, the new sprites look nice (I like bigger sprites in general), and I'd pick leg style B.

I prefer style A.
A and B both look awesome(not that the old style didn't), but I think that legs look a bit better, when they aren't so pushed together - standing like that would be painful! ^_^;;
But that's just my opinion, so, yeah! I'm not going to get incredibly angry, if it isn't used.

So funny, I think that legs B look better because A looks unnatural. Funny how people see things differently. ^__^

Well.....I don't know....
Sorry Chains but the old style still look the best one to me, maybe it's because of the eyes and faces....
they look unexpressive and weird in the new style...maybe it's just me but I have this feeling...they look too much deformed. My two cents.
Anyway, I prefer the B version of the new style.

I prefer the New Style B. I agree that Style A looks a bit odd with the legs that far apart (I'm also super used to the old style in that aspect) and I really like the way the new Style B is. They are just different enough that they are yours, and very much make it your game, instead of just rips and recolors of the old SMAS game (not that I'm comparing your old sprites to those or calling you a thief! Please dont think that!).

I agree, and I think it's important to establish a style that only pertains to PSSM: The RPG. I myself will have to get used to looking at the new style, but it opens up so many new doors and more accurate attention to detail.

For those who still prefer the old style, once you see these sprites in action I think you'll see the light. ^__~

I'd also like to point out upon further inspection (IE zooming in really close) it looks like the girls... girly parts are hanging out between their legs in Style A.

Personally, I would love to learn to sprite under the tutelage of one of your spriters so I could stop using rips and really open up my comic.

Well, I actually do spriting myself and made the sprites into the new style. After PSSM: The RPG is complete then perhaps I could teach you the style. XD

LOL I totally didn't think of that when I put the one pixel of skin below their skirts. I could remove that, but I still think that Leg Style A looks weird. It may be a more natural pose but what in games is ever natural? XD

Well I tried that. Removing the pixel in the middle. It still looks really weird. haha. I'd totally go with either the old style or style B. I'm rooting for Style B myself.

PS. I would love to be taught. Haha. Also, I PMed you with an idea.

I'm on a computer with a bigger moniter and a higher resolution than when I posted my previous post, and the old style looks a lot smaller than the new style on this one...one more reason to go with one of the new sprites, I guess.

I'd have to agree with that...I actually stand like style B a lot, usually unintentionally.

Your old style had already so many details, if you honestly think you can put more into the new style I am all for it. Cause they do look cool.

But keep the legs togethers.. cause the A legs just look odd.. like they're about to do something uncomfortable.

And it would look weird walking, probably when the sprites sets on the middle one and it just leaves the legs open. Together they just look like they're standing.

Keep them legs closed, girls! UsagiLaugh

......And closed legs please XD

P.s. by the way, Chains, do you still plan to make the sailor senshi's hair different after the "make up"? ArtemisSit
