I'm working on updating the site today.~ The 800x600 version is severely undated compared to the 1024x768 version so I'm also going to work on updating that as well. |

Hmmm...I'm gonna guess he's gonna tease everyone (especally me) with some huge news or whatever. I dunno, I just think Chains needs a bigger and better team to help him with this game. I've been calling for a "marketing" idea, I just don't know what else to call the idea so yeah. The problem is, I have a unused theme related to the game that only chains and myself has heard. So I can't use that even though it's a great music for such advertising. My prototype ads that some people have seen before was a bit of a success. I also did video versions of them, but agian it has that theme and I can't let the public see or hear it. Such an epic project that has tooken so many months and the first arc probably isn't even close to final yet. And yet so many morons won't go near this project because: 1) These morons know jack crap about PSSM except what they saw in the horrible english dub (ohhh do I have plans to revive the redub idea!) AND 2) Homebrew game projects like this usually get a bad rep for never being completed. It's sad....and even I at times wanted to give up supporting the project. Hell I came this close when some people voiced their dislike of me and my critism (at the time) to divide the game into 6 (right..?) arcs. Look, I don't know if Chains still has a staff and if he's doing most of it himself. And now he's asking for finacial aid for all the right reasons. I just think...we as members of this forum aren't really doing much to assist him in development of this game. I know a friend who's father does great music and he would be valuable to the rest of the music numbers that would be in this game....if he's not charging for it. I'm in the process of coming up with a boss battle theme for one of the four kings in the first arc...most likely Kunsite. Yeah...this is from a guy who can't play a freaking instrument, yet has a bit of experince with an electronic musical keyboard. I have my friend's father's email address if your interested in the idea of music from him. In fact, there are people in this place that I'm sure plays an instrument. One of them is (you guessed it!!) Jelle!! She plays sax, and I know there has to be something in the way of sax-related numbers that'll be used in this game. Most likely during romantic suituatons and things like that. It's ironic because me and her---uhh anyway, yeah....Jelle could probably make a musical number or anyone else in this place. I already told you I'm trying to come up with one myself, yet I never played an instrument successfully...the keyboard might as well be a good place to start. As for other aspects of development.....we could find people doing projects and whatnot and tell them about this game, increasing the chances of more help for Chains...and making the game even more known! Getting back to music for a moment, there could even be someone coming up with an orignal song for the game. I only know one person that can do it right now...maybe two if I'm lucky. So yeah...didn't mean for this post to be extremly long....but now that I have thrown my support back into the game, I am coinvinced (wether you like me or not..it's irrelevant) that this game WILL be completed and WILL be a complete retelling of the whole story....as Naoko Takechi(spelling?) herself would approve. And the completion of the first arc alone can go much faster if we do our part in development. It's not just Chain's game....IT'S OUR GAME TOO. Someone had to rally the troops...and it had to be a person most people don't feel happy about. But if not me, who would?? |

Right now I pretty much do have all the help I need except for someone who can code in Ruby for the custom game systems I still need. It's just a matter of everyone completing their work, (me included) but you have to keep in mind that we all have our personal lives and things we have to do other than game stuff. I think that considering there hasn't been anything playable and just information and screenshots have been available, I have a pretty impressive following. In light of nothing being released in so long and you guys not having anything playable, I will probably make a sample game completely unrelated to PSSM: The RPG based on an episode of the anime or an act of the manga to show you how the game will play out, how scenes will play out, etc. It would be something small (and made with the OLD graphics) but still give you a taste of what's to come, only with ten times more awesome. On the internet this is a horrible idea and a logistical nightmare. It just means more people Chains has to manage, and it's amazingly hard, actually almost impossible, to get a decent-sized team to create something for free over the internet. Adding more people adds to the amount of potential problems a game's development can have. Conflicting opinions, people disappearing unannounced for months at a time [or forever?], people just not producing anything, or causing needless drama, etc. It's much better to have one guy at the helm controlling all the decisions and the output, just for the simple fact that things can get done that way. |
