Japanese all the way... American version cuts out WAY to much funny stuff.

Japanese, of course. I can't believe how they cut stuff or change stuff in the dub. I mean, who doesn't think Negaverse just sounds weird? And what's wrong with 'Death Busters'? I mean.. Bureau of Bad Behaviour is just.. wrong. And Haruka and Michiru are NOT cousins! UsagiMad

Japanese version. I didn't even have to think for a second to say it.

The U.S. dub is one of the biggest disgraces to anime fans, to females, and to the intelligence of the viewer.

Ohh just you wait til I revive that plan for re-dubbing sailor moon. I mean...at least Funimation had enough class to re-dub Dragonball Z on DVDs...with the orignal music intact, and a few other things.

Personally, I love the dub music for some reason, and I love the vocal cast.
What I did not like is how much it differed from the original version, that was just a disgrace.

Ideally, if they were to re-do it, without totally destroying the path from the original, It would be preferred by me.

But since they haven't done that, I /would/ have to side with the Japanese version.

Hidden German option. Cause the Senshi sound awesome screaming out "Macht der Venusnebel! Macht auf!" VenusPose

Plus, it was the dub that was the truest to the Japanese version. Not a name (cept for Bunny) was changed, not an episode was cut, and they had all five seasons. Plus, their music was great (they had SEVEN compilation discs too o_o).

They did that too in the dutch version! Well.. in Dutch. UsagiLaugh "Macht van de Maannevel! Verschijn!" The only bad thing was that only the classic season was dubbed into Dutch. But it was based on the German dub (Same names, attack names translated etc.) so it was close to the original too.

Well.. in the deep south, it could mean the same thing. xD;;

I had forgotten how terrifying the american voice cast is.
I downloaded the american songs Let's Fight, Tear Our Hearts in Two, and You'll Be In My Heart from the anime (on sailormusic.net), and they have som dialogues mixed up.

AAARRGHH! Serena-Usagi sound like a clucking hen! pa-KAA, pa-pa-pa-KAA! Does anyone really talk like that in America? I doubt it! (please say I'm right, please say of course they dont... Im scared...)
She sound like a parody of an american girl. (like someone from "Not another teen movie")
ANd whe she is goimg to say something serious, she sound like she's a forty year old, stuck-up woman from the worst-dialect parts of BRITAIN!

AAAAAH SOOO SCARY!!!!

At least English Serena isn't as horribly screechy as Japanese Usagi.

Im not sure about that. Sure, Usagis voice actress Kotono Mitsuishi have an annoyingly (?) brainless voice at times, but when it comes to the serious parts she has some sincerity and calmness in her voice that I really can't trace in the english Serena...

Then again , I was brought up with the swedish dub which was a-okay, so I don't know...
It's all a matter of what you are used to. But I think many of the countrys to which sailor moon anime was dubbed were countries not used to dubbing animes in a serious way (read: they have few trained professional voice actors...)

Face it, no one would say no to a newer dub with serious&passioned voiceacting and a script truer to the original...

summing up, daio and others; I just might have overreacted.

Personally, I've never really like a lot of the Japanese voices. Venus, Mercury, Mamoru, Jupiter, Chibiusa, and the Outers are the only ones that I could really enjoy. Every other main character just seemed too screechy.

My favourite is the Japanese version 100%, although the American version does have its Comedy factors! My favourite of which being when usagi first meets Ami and practically smothers Luna:

'Don't frown like that Luna, you'll get wrinkles' XD
