It has been 5 years since Waylon's death now, but Waylon Jennings music is standing the test of time like no other. Last month, Waylon Jennings single "Just The Good Ol' Boys (The Theme from 'The Dukes of Hazzard')" was certified as the first country ringtone to sell a million times.

People like me swell with pride one more time. The first platinum record in country music hangs on his wall, the first SOLO platinum record in country music hangs on his wall, and the first TRIPPLE platinum record in country music hangs on his wall, and now, 27 years after the song was released, a SINGLE platinum in country music hangs on his wall as well.

Tell Garth Brooks, Kenny Chesney, and the rest of those fake assholes to pack their shit up and go home, because Waylon is STILL setting the bar for them. 5 years after his death.

Waylon fucking rules. Bottom line.
