For those of you that remember Kamala, the huge guy that was supposed to be from Africa, he got his start in Memphis. He was accompanied to the ring by a handler, not really a manager because I really don't remember him saying anything. Back in those days there wasn't a lot of fireworks and music when a wrestler came to the ring. So one monday night me and several of my buddies went to a live event in Memphis, they had one every monday night. That night Kamala was making his debut. All of us had been eating Jolly Rancher candies all afternoon and we each had a pocket full of them. In case you don't know what a Jolly Rancher is, it's a hard fruit flavored candy about half the size of your little finger. Well that night when the lights went out for Kamala's entrance, we all started throwing Jolly Ranchers at him as he was coming to the ring. At that time he was wearing one of those long wooden mask, it had to be at least 4 feet long. It sounded like machine gun fire bouncing off of that mask. We did this for 3 or 4 weeks, every time he came to the ring. He quit wearing the mask after that. I don't know if it was because of us or if he just couldn't see where he was going very well. |

Yeah, I got a story too. I never threw candy, but it was still pretty funny. Usually you hear about Fans climbing over the baracade to get in the ring, well it was only last month that I went to a Smackdown live event in Kelowna, British Columbia. The arena was pretty bare, but the action was pretty good. The first incident, was during a United States title match, Finlay challenging Lashley. About half through, a drunk fan in the front row stodd up, screamed at the top of his lungs, and then lifted up his chair. Security immidiately started running at him, but before they reched him, he had already thrown the chair, and it hit the side of the ring. Finlay came over and looked pissed at the guy. Before Finlay could say anything however, Security tackled him and dragged him out. The next match, was a tag team title match between London/Kendrick taking on Noble/Kid Kash. The match was a pretty solid match with good back and fourth action. After the end, they announced there was a short intermission. Most of the people left before the wrestlers did. Now, I stayed back and watched them leave. It was pretty funny, because on the way out, one guy was laughing at Kid Kash, so he went over and smacked the guys beer! Well the fan wasn't going to take that, and threw the beer all over Kash! Kash swore at the guy, and again Security tackled the guy and dragged him out. The main event, was Mark Henry vs Rey Mysterio for the heavweight title. This was probably the funniest because about halfway through the match, Henry was in control, stomping on Rey Mysterio. At this point, a fan decided that the time was right, jumped over the baracade and slide into the ring! Before he could get up, Henry was right there, stomping the shit out of him! It lasted for like 3 seconds, and then Security pulled the guy out and started stomping on him again. They again, dragged this guy through the crowd and out. One fan was pretty angry about this, and threw his beer at the guards, but instead it nailed another guy in the back of the head, starting a fight. It was a pretty funny sight. Also, on the show Khali destroyed Hardy and Aaron Stevenson or some shit.. (Khali looked a lot better in real live, or maybe he was less nervous and could perform. I don't know what it was, but he actually sold it better). I also saw Kennedy make his in ring return, taking on Psicosis. The match as pretty good, and Kennedy ended it with a sort of "Regal Stretch" but modified.) Yeah, it was good for my first ever live WWE event. I thought I would share my stories. |

London & Kendick Vs. Kid Kash & Jamie Knoble? Seems to be some good booking at these house shows. Though the thing about Kash knocking a guy's beer out of his hand, it just shows how good a heel he is - but then again, knocking a beer out of a guys hand whilst he's drinking it is a tad extreme  |
