Wow, this managed to sneak in without me being aware of it. I even missed the first day. I'll have to rewatch the Mario 64 race.

Looking at the list, there isn't much new this year and it looks like the regulars will take precedent (perhaps SGDQ is becoming the bigger event now). But what is new there is intriguing, namely Bloodborne which has earned its rightful place on the final day.

Looking forward to:
Bloodborne
Ori and the Blind Forest
Simpsons Arcade
NES Batman
Kaizo Mario 3
Super Mario Maker Custom Level Challenge
Megaman X, Zero, ZX, and Gunvolt (I'm REALLY hyped for this block)
Pokemon Yellow
Mario Kart 8
I see NG+ Plague for Shovel Knight, so I assume it's Plague of Shadows?

You are not alone.
Heard they streamed Path of Radiance. How was that?

PoR was pretty good if largely uneventful.

I saw bits and pieces of Mario 64 because of work but did see punc with a substantial lead pretty much the whole time. I think he finished about 2 stars ahead of the others.

Off hand looking forward to the Majora's Mask 100% relay. I've been enjoying MajinPhil's streams lately, they're pretty comfy.

I just noticed A Hat in Time (Beta) is on the games list. I'm really interested in this game but I'm not sure how I'm going to enjoy seeing what is completed so far glitched and ran through at blinding speeds.

Oddly, I realized that I personally don't find speed runs of strategy games all that fun.

I just watched the Simpsons arcade run. As someone who played it a lot at my cousin's house on their computer and sank coins into it at the arcade, I find it so weird to see them handle everything like a pro without cheating and with only a single player. They even handled the final boss without taking much damage at all.

The two player, one controller play of Super Metroid was pretty fantastic. They even broke the world record for that kind of run. I really need to sit down one day and play Super and Fusion (both played at the event) all the way through.

I've never played the GBA Sonic games, but the runs have me interested. I like the animations and sprites for Sonic in them. Also, DarkSpinesSonic is becoming one of my favorite speedrunners. After seeing him play Sonic Heroes last year and then Lost World this year, I can't tell if the games he's playing are that good or if his ability to play them flawlessly are making them look better than they are.

Anyway, 2D Mario block up next, featuring Kaizo Mario Bros. 3's (not to be confused with Super Mario Kaizo 3) debut, Mario Maker, the SMW race, and the Yoshi's Island race.

The Sonic Advance games are some of the best Sonic games ever made, period.

They're the only Sonic games I've enjoyed since the early '00s, they really are the best Sonic has had to offer in the last decade or so. Still not as good a Sonic game as Freedom Planet though! XD

I'll keep in mind both of your seals of approval.

Megaman X and up block now. The MMX race was really close. I'm looking forward to Megaman Zero up next, then ZX, then Gunvolt.

Oh yeah, I'd heard that one was pretty good. Saw it on the eShop; might need to try it.

I highly suggest it. It has three playable characters that all control differently enough from each other to make me play the game three times in a row back to back. Carol - the character loosely inspired by Knuckles - is probably my favorite though; I love wrecking my way Ghost Rider-style through stages and up walls on a motorcycle. I think I heard they may add two more characters down the line as DLC too, but it's been a really long time so who knows.

EDIT: Nevermind, they added one of the DLC characters last month, along with a new story mode for the one character that previously didn't have one.

Poor stiv can't get a break already. His Banjo run was trainwreck %.

Already missed the Mario and Megaman stuff tonight but at least I can tune in to OOT and MM. ZFG with a much more reasonable OOT than the 5hr 100% snoozefest and while MM is 100% it's much more exciting IMO and they're doing it relay style.

That was the thing I was most excited for, and I woke up right after it ended. Guess I'll settle for Mario Kart 8. XD

Ouch, that party foul in the Link to the Past reverse boss order race was pretty brutal. The leading runner died, and while laughing hysterically accidentally kicked the other runner's console and reset it. The trailing runner was already a few minutes behind, and that cost him at least three more minutes getting back to the boss fight he was on.

Yes, that sucked. But at least the two runners sounded like they were having fun as they spent so much of the time joking around.

The Bloodborne Any% run was interesting. Even though he used skips to get pass so many of the bosses, when he did have to plop down and fight one, he did an amazing job. It was unfortunate that he got stuck between some rocks at some point and had to re-run a certain section, though. I'd love to see what an all boss (or at least all main boss) run looks like.

Anyway, Super Metroid reverse boss order run is up next and then the glorious 64 floor glitch run for Final Fantasy 4. If you've never seen the 64 floor glitch, it's pretty interesting.
