So with only Nintendo left up to bat (right?), what's on everyone's list so far?
1. SF V
2. FF7 remake
3. Doom
4. Transformers Devastation
5. No Man's Sky

Uh, V plays nothing like Peace Walker.
Who said played? It's a sequel narratively. I like Miller, but nothing else introduced in Peace Walker interested me at all.

Square still has something today, but I wouldn't expect anything crazy outside maybe a rogue KH trailer.

I'm still holding out for Hitman gameplay.

As for what i'm excited about:
-MGSV
-Mass Effect Andromeda
-Mirror's Edge Catalyst
-Fallout 4
-The Last Guardian
-Super Mario Maker
-Arkham Knight
-The Hololens

Amusingly, 4 of those were at previous E3s and one of those isn't even a game itself.

It's kind of sad that MGS5 isn't getting more attention given to it before release at the show, but that's understandable considering the circumstances, I guess. =<

There's a lot of solid stuff being shown, but I don't think anything is blowing me away as being a must have. Horizon was probably the thing I was most interested in, but I have my reservations about it. After that, it's all a muddled mess. There are seriously too many cinematic trailers. Announcing DaS3 is fun, but I can't think anything about it until I see what it'll actually play like. Same with recore and a bunch of other stuff. It's also why I'm not at all excited for Scalebound.

Also, I'm still very used to the whole "Here's our E3 demo, where the game looks AMAZING, and here it is 10 months later, it looks way less impressive for some reason." You could probably apply that to every game being played at the conferences yesterday, which is unfortunate.

E3 stuff that's caught my eye so far:

Horizon
Transformers Devestation
Rare Replay
Halo 5
Hyrule Warriors 3DS (bless those leaks)
Disney Infinity 3.0 (revealed before e3 but the Sony conference brought the hype up a notch )

CG trailers:
FF7
Recore
Mirrors Edge

Johnny V always brings the hype.

Halo 5 is still the game I want most for the Xbox, but I have doubts it is going to be good enough to make me purchase one. The campaign demo we got seemed cool, but it was very, uh, SOCOM II? And it still seemed to be a lot like Halo 4, which was fine, but not nearly the draw that the series was for me earlier.

Everything was just a stupid cinematic trailer, so my list is basically empty. The only things I'm sure to like are Dishonored and MGSV, I think, but once gameplay videos from the show floor crop up that may grow.

That depends on how much is actually playable on the floor. Hopefully Nintendo brings some stuff, but we'll see in an hour and a half.

I need to find a stream that will work through my work firewall, but considering the nature of the direct, I doubt my AP stream will work this time.

Not surprised the Kinect wasn't mentioned at all, but I figure it'll count with the Hololens and Cortana coming to the X1.

Honestly, mostly in the same boat. My list were games I'm interested in, but not exactly a "need now" type thing.

The game I keep coming back to at the moment though is For Honor. I'll withhold judgment for the Clancy titles until they properly release (or via beta).

Sony "won" E3 because of Vaporware (remember when Last Guardian was supposed to save the PS3?), a remake of a twenty year old game (lolz) and a kickstarter for a game series most of the people backing it never bought in the first place (lol Shenmue). k.

I mean, sure MS prolly didn't do shit but really?

MS showed a bunch of cinematic trailers, Halo, and Gears, more or less. I don't think either of them did great and if I'm honest, Bethesda "won" E3 at this point if anything.

It's kind of amazing that Bethseda's "victory" consists of one major game with a sufficient amount of gameplay shown.

I am interested in seeing what they mean by what they said about augmenting the story to deal with the problem of an open world experience getting in the way of story sometimes. After Witcher 3 tried its hand at the same thing, i'm looking forward to seeing other devs come up with ideas to deal with this as well.

They showed a considerable amount of Doom as well, which while nothing mindblowing, was nice enough to see. Super Shotgun~

I've heard a lot of talk about how Witcher 3 basically swept the rug out of all open world games and that Fallout 4 is going to have a hard time comparing to it if it's just a direct evolution of FO3, because that way of open world design is seriously outdated.

Granted I've played about an hour of both FO3 and Witcher 3, so I can't judge myself, so take that for what you will.

Nintendo event up soon.

If there's one game i'm hoping for, even though it isn't very likely, is Sin and Punishment 3.

Four Swords was fun, so this is nice, but I think I would have preferred something else from the ALBW team.

Nintendo Recap:

Star Fox Zero (Wii U)
Skylanders Amiibo Stuff (Wii U)
Zelda: Triforce Heroes (3DS)
Hyrule Warriors Legends (3DS)
Metroid Prime Federation Force + Metroid Blast Ball (3DS)
Fire Emblem Fates (3DS)
FE x SMT, but it has a name now that has nothing to do with SMT I think but I can't read Japanese (Wii U)
Xenoblade Chronicles X /w Release Date (Wii U)
Animal Crossing Happy Home (3DS)
Animal Crossing Amiibo Festival (Wii U)
Yoshi's Wooly World (Wii U)
Yokai Watch (3DS)
Mario and Luigi Paper (3DS)
Mario Tennis Ultra (Wii U)
Super Mario Maker (Wii U)

It was . . . okay.

Firstly, I am extremely excited for Star Fox. I love the idea that there are three vehicles, they all transform, and you can use them on any stage. Looking at the Treehouse now, I love what they've done with it. And Mario and Luigi Papercraft looks great as well.

But . . . even then, it was okay. It's not that I didn't like the games shown (i'm actually excited for a lot of them), it's that much like with the Sony and Microsoft conferences, we've known about so many of these games and some were even shown at the last E3 such as Yoshi, Xenoblade, FExSMT and Mario Maker. Yokai Watch is cool, but that's an old game. And there were some trailers that were cinematic only where I would have liked to see some gameplay, though it was nowhere as bad in this regard as the other conferences.

Also, the 3DS is getting that Metroid game that's not really a Metroid game, a new Zelda, and the Mario and Luigi meets Paper Mario game. And while they look good, the Wii U really needed one of those titles. Really, that last one should be on Wii U, not the 3DS. The Wii U really needed a new big announcement that wasn't Star Fox to end the video and i'm sad we didn't get that. In the end, there just wasn't enough of big, new Wii Utitles to make me think it was more than okay.

What I did love is that they kept the down to earth, from the heart conversations and how that translated to gameplay and for that, I am thankful.

But Breath of Fire 6 is a thing! For mobile!

It's the future!
