Given how the episode ended, he sure as hell better show up next time. Anyway, the Golden Retriever bit is my favorite gag in the series to date, I have to say. I can't stop picturing him that way now.

In any case, as to the friend request thing.

My 2 theories are either

1: He IS a person of the land, and can use adventurer skills. Since as they've been saying constantly for the last 10 or so episodes, it's no longer a game and the rules have changed, so what's stopping him and others from learning?

2: He's died so many times that he's lost enough of himself that the world no longer considers him what he used to be and just an shallow existence.

This is what I'm leaning towards.

Rudi's situation will grow interesting, since they actually hinted at it in the anime early, the novel didn't show his situation till the end of this arc, and Shiroe was forced to initiate a world changing spell that got the attention of the Osaka ruler.
Actually, it's a slight spoiler, but not a spoiler...
NPC/Native do have access to the interface, and skill, they can access the status window too, but not as detailed as adventurer, and they can level up and learn skill. but if I remember, their sub class is Native, or aristorcrat, 2nd class citizen

Regarding NPCs
A court magician is about level...20~30, that's considered top level for NPC.
Normal soldier are about 5~10, Captaion/General is also 20~30.
Ancient/Hero NPC are 80+, and are a match for the adventurer, but they are limited to specific events, and can disappear if certain criterea is met, like the current event with the Goblin King and Fishman invasion, the Izumo Knight disappeared, the other faction is the NPC Guard mecha armor, in which each armor is equal to a max level player with best equipment

Things they changed this arc, Mariane visiting the local village elder, and giving gift and asking permission to train there, and when the invasion started, the training camp wasn't this big of a mess, the veteran was able to hold off the majority of the invasion force, and gather all the novice with Marianne, and the veterans/teachers told them to teleport back to Akiba, but the Novice refused, citing the need to warn and protect the Village, and how they've trained just for this type of situation.

New thing they've added, Minori writing things down, and trying to "think" like Shiroe, so building up to the rivalary between her and Akatsuki, one being Shiroe's sword, and one being his "mouth", in the next arc with the festival and the third faction joining.

Now that you mention it, NPC probably is the most likely probability . . . considering we've seen that shot in the opening where he looks dead and Isuzu looks really sad. When if he was an adventurer, there would be no reason for her to be sad because he'd just respawn.

Just read some of the novel info about it.

Haha, oh wow. They better not screw the upcoming events up in the anime.

Don't forget Raygun's earlier explanation on soul and rez spell, that's the anime team hinting at future event, and trying to explain stuff with new things.

Episode 16
So they reduced visiting the village, talking to the elder, to the loli the training camp met while going to the training camp.
And Minori grew into Shiroe mk.II earlier then usual~
Next episode, NEET Princess realize the Eastern Kingdom is not united, and ask the strongest knight she knows for help to protect her kingdom.
Shiroe uses this "shield" to unite Akiba for a common cause~

so how capable are the level 90's cause the beach group was able to hold off the invasion for the newbs to escape. From what I saw, each one is capable of fighting 4~5 fishmen, are don't seem to be in danger of getting killed. So would the issue with a direct confrontation be the adventurers are not neumerous enough to stage a proper defense, because they can't cover a large enough area? and is there any pics of what the Izumo knights look like?

Yeah Strabo, the worry is that although they wont necessarily be in great danger, they'll only halt the first wave and the rest will storm into the village while they're busy. That's why they talked about walls and fortifications a bit; if the village had some, they'd only have to guard the gates and put a token defense on the walls, so their smaller numbers could more easily defend it.

Haha, those psychotic eyes.

This weeks episode was alright. Princess was the best part again. Though next week seems like it'll finally reach the feeling the show had during the Akihabra take over arc.

By which you mean Shiroe will actually start doing things again instead of lounging around pouting over a forced assignment from the council/memory loss?

Shiroue wanted to do things.
He wanted to help the NPC, but the blacksmith messed up that meeting, but he princess gives him the perfect excuse to send Akiba to war, and also use her to poke fun at Crusty.
He's also been researching world changing spell, like the one that brought them to this world, although the anime hasn't shown that.

Yeah, aside from when he was actually meeting with the sage Shiroe has just been kind of lounging around indecisively in the anime for quite a while now. He's only back in action as of the goblin attack.

Episode 19, quite alot of information this episode, and the few action scene was done well~
They also added in the new player attitude to NPC compared to old player, and that the new player volunteered to protect the NPC town~
And will they show off the "Wing of Light" from the Legendary staff that Shiroe has?

Wait, is that image implying that they were literally physically transported to the Elder Tale world?

Pretty much, but no official word yet, that manga isn't a adaption, but by the origional artist+Writer, and the author have said he put in "hints" for future events in the novel, the latest is the Shiroe2 account on Area 51(US server) will appear in the novel soon.
how it will appear, is not known yet.

What is known, is that when the game started, the advanturer were controlling "drone" that affected the world, but to the native, they were cold, after the catastrophe, the adventurer became more "alive" because they were transported to the world, although they aren't in their origional body, the adventurer body contain their origional trait, but usually makeing it look better.

I see, thanks.

That pretty much answered one of the things I was wondering of the franchise. If they were

A: Simply had their consciousness trapped in there like .hack (Minus Tokio) while they're real body was dyeing in the real world

B: Physically transferred into the game what that image implies.

C: Their consciousness was simply copied into the game world itself and their original selves still existed in the real world at the same time.

Obviously C wouldn't work because for them to have had their real world appearances copied into the game, the only logical answer is B. Plus the fact that they have to now use the bathroom in game and all.
