A Nintendrone living a Lie

Something I never thought about until just now is that it sure must suck if the game locked you in while you were on your joke or mule character. |

Almost as good as Lowe ^_^

Which is what happened to the leader of the Tea party, she was on her US chara. But when you get "sent" over, your avatar is pretty much you, except, it'll put your face trait onto it, but make it pretty/better looking. |

Finished episode 2. Akatsuki is waifu of the year so far. (Literally she might as well be his wife) Shiro...Flat out reminds of a younger version of Ovan from .hack//GU. He even has the whole "JUST AS PLANNED! thing going down and even has a similar look as well. (Only a different shade of blue hair and not orange sunglasses)........Also less of an ass hole then Ovan was. Also I can't remember the BRO guy's name, but he's just flat out a BRO. Not to mention he's actually good and on par as far as being party member goes instead of just some bumbling side kick/tag along. Unlike say SAO where anyone not Kirito was useless. EDIT: Episode 3: Learning his waifu is A-Okay Posted Image Posted Image |

I think I turned a friend of mine on it too. He was a big .hack fan but we both hated Sword Art Online, and he was initially going to stay as far away from this as he could because he was afraid it would be a cash-in on SAO's popularity. He's still hesitant, but frankly I think this is better than .hack so far so I doubt he'll be disappointed. |

Log Horizon is amusing, but honestly, unlike .hack and SAO, there are no stakes. Dying just means being respawned anyway. See, SAO made it clear that dying meant actual death and the game ends when Aincrad is beaten. .hack actually had stakes with people falling into comas and there was almost always a clear antagonist who caused it. What does Log Horizon have? Just some PKers for the most part, but even then, it's only an annoyance. If it wasn't for the bits of comedy, this show would not even be worth watching, but even then, it's not exactly bringing anything new to the table at the moment. |

Everything is new to the table; the very thing you just mentioned changes the entire feel of the show. Not having a malevolent force hanging over things actually makes the situation even worse, in my mind. Without any kind of goal, an enemy to blame, or a promise of escape, these people actually have to deal with the reality of being trapped there. It's a great premise, and we've all seen the mustache-twirling villain or world-ending monster before anyway, so this is quite a bit more interesting in my mind. Seeing what kind of chaos a disorganized and confused group of people might create, and the way guilds might evolve into a greater level of authority over the populace, is pretty interesting to me. |

The stake of LH is there's no escape. You can't die, you can't get free, you can't even play the game how it was intended to. Also no longer being able to pee standing up and writing your name in the snow because you chose to play with a female character. |

I am also in the camp of finding it more interesting seeing what people do in a world they can't die in and there is no clear goal. |

Apparently, there's a Prostitute class? The author behind it was on Twitter last night or the day before one of them, and he was answering questions. He also answered many from /a/ itself (one anon was acting as the go between). Seems he's pretty cool overall, and like that he has western fans. It was stickied fore a while until recently. |

Sub-class. There's alot of none-combat subclass, like Shiroe's writer/artist(Able to write contract or draw map) Nyanta's Cook Akatsuki's tracker. Prostitute would be considered a role-playing class, which has no skill, but gives bonus on how NPC treat you, but now that you're trapped in Elder Tale... |

Maybe, but I'll be one of the classy ones, with a heart of gold! ;__; Also, vampire roleplaying class? That's pretty funny. XD EDIT: Oh yeah, and one of the leaders of the Akihabara guild Shiroe is friends with - forgetting the name right now - is a bard. Edited by ZetaStriker, Oct 25 2013, 08:39 AM.

Vampire, if I remember, was a subclass that was popular for a while, due to it's attribute of having stats increasing greatly at night. But because it was so unbalanced, the Dev team made one small change that made few people using it. THe change was, if you are a vampire, and you get healed, you burst into flame, and lose HP. |

Ep.4 Surara's voice is really cute~ Action scene, really isn't as good as SAO. But they explained Shiroe's plan and diversion and teamwork with Tea party member. Naotsugu draw enemy attention, having Surara using Heal and Naotsugu using Castle to give the impression they are desperate, and focus on Naotsugu, so Shiroe can use Zone bind hostage and do a combo with Nyanta that deal 15000 Damage in one combo, while Shiroe using Zonebind Hostage, draw attention so Akatsugi can kill the mage and support. Serara dealing the finishing blow - wwwww And Shiroe misleading them into thinking that Akihabara is coming to take charge is in too. So next episode is the Food revolution, Shiroe learning about the "dark" side of Akihabara, and deciding to take charge, and rescue Minori and her younger brother. Minori and Akatsuki's relation with Shiroe, wonder how they'll show that(Minori is jelous of Akatsuki being able to protect and understand Shiroe's battle strategy, Akatsuki is jelous that Minori can understand Shiroe's political maneuver and strategy, and see the "Big" picture and final goal) Edited by Tangowr, Oct 26 2013, 09:37 PM.
