Almost as good as Lowe ^_^

Let's see, from technical problem (note that I'm playing with the latest patch) - Sometimes, the game experience heavy frame drop especially if you're summoning Mikhail (your dragon) to assist you with bombardment. - A bit slow loading time - Bugs, one of them that I encountered was enemies not popping out and I couldn't advance through the stage. - I've heard people going freeze too, though I never experienced it myself This is indeed in line with "WTF Cavia" goodness. Now, if we're talking about whether this is in soul with DOD franchise some might say this is not really a DOD in sense. From gameplay perspective, one of the biggest loss is the removal of world map when you ride a Dragon and no more Town (you buy stuffs from the intermission menu now). There are very little stages(about 5 or less, IIRC) where you ride Dragon to do full air battle (there are more instances where you able to ride the dragon in Ground battle), and even then those stages are just one linear path where you defeat grunts and fight the boss at the end. Weapon story is also not as detailed as before. Another thing worth mentioning is the game probably give you different feel in atmosphere than previous entries if you only played for several hours. It's brutal but it is not accompanied with that dark and depressing feeling like previous entries (especially DOD1). This game also have so many sex/dirty jokes. It will try to be there in almost any character interaction whenever it can (especially when Zero is interacting with the Apostles). The best thing for me is, they never take this seriously and you will probably smirk or laugh most of the time so I don't think this inclusion is a bad thing. And reminder too that you don't get any development at all with the other sisters (or their backstories in general) in the game, they are told from the prologue novel which I doubt would get any translation at all. In general, you will probably be lost in the first 3 routes on why Zero tries to commit the massacre. It is not until the last route where Zero start explaining everything from her reason to fight, why the tragedy happens, etc that the story finally make sense and you start to care. I do think at the end of the D route, this is indeed a DOD in spirit but I don't think so many people would bother doing it until the end (especially the last boss!) Music is not as godly as Nier, but I just love the theme song ("This Silence is Mine"), Zero's theme ("Black Song", especially Emi Evans version) and the longer part of it which is the song for the last boss ("The Final Song"). Graphical wise, it's not as good as modern games nowadays but I think some background scenery are pretty good. There is only one full CG movie and that is used on the beginning of the game. In the end, I do think it's worth playing just for the last boss! It's so memorable, and I do applaud them for letting Yoko Taro have that kind of last boss for the game (or maybe he somehow had them fooled that the stage is not mandatory  ). |

Heads up, akito! The NA release date is May 20. The game with have a collector's edition for $79.99 and a standard edition for $49.99. Lots of DLC. There's also some strange stuff going on with japanese audio dlc- you have to pre-order before March 4th to even get it (two other pre-order items are time sensitive as well). Also, the CE is only available at Square Enix's online store. Read it all here: http://blog.us.playstation.com/2014/02/05/drakengard-3-launching-on-may-20th-for-ps3-collectors-edition-revealed/ |

The prequel novella interests me, but not enough for shell out an extra $30. I'm sure I'll be able to find it online somewhere anyway. Also, does this mean if I wait until after the 4th, there's a different bonus included in the pre-order? That's pretty odd, you'd think they'd let us get all three for ordering early. |

That's a really odd pre-order strategy but... that's actually a fair bit of content at least for a LE. Fuck me. |

Finally got a hold of the OST the other night. Enjoyed it. And didn't know there were also alternate versions of the 4 Numbers themes. Though it only has 33 tracks, which seems pretty short of a JRPG... For any game in general really. |

It's not really a JRPG either. Neither was Drakengard. NIER barely straddled the line. |

Yeah, I decided not to cave and stick with the regular version. I may still place an early pre-order for the bonuses though. |

I hear horror stories about Digital River so I think i'll go with the regular edition since I doubt any of the game content is CE-only. |

May 20th. I actually prefer them to take the money off the bat since then I can account for it off the bat, but yeah, usually places don't. |

You should have gotten Jojo instead. Less chances of you throwing the control and PS3 at the wall. Already got the OST so that was probably the best part of the game already. Aside from maybe the 5 super Nympho sisters. |

Except One Too bad all of those pets are taken by Zero to fulfill her sexual drive. But on the same time she is not exactly satisfied with most of them (they have their own reason for not being able to satisfy Zero) |

Game's out. It got a digital CE out of nowhere, so I don't feel bad for having to cancel my CE preorder last minute. https://store.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com/#!/en-us/games/drakengard-3-digital-collector's-edition/cid=UP0082-NPUB31251_00-B000000000000415 I'll probably get it next week some time. |
