Bah, fine. >.> Also if you get a pirate ship and a crew, they better ****ing do something unlike those free loaders who were around your house and did nothing in AC2. Edited by Ovan, Feb 26 2013, 01:43 PM.

Actually, with that title, the game should be set in a post apocalyptic future overrun by mutant insects. And you are a member of an order of highly trained exterminators. |

Don't know if want. And I've bought every Assassin's Creed except the DS ones to date. One of the great features of AC1 and 2 were that they took place in a set of years where a large set of famous people actually did die in rapid succession. The problem with the last few games was that they took place in eras where a lot of famous, well known people did not die during those eras. (Hence again why the French Revolution is perfect for AC but Ubisoft is too Frenchy-French to want to admit that egalitarianism in early France didn't work.) Seriously, who died that mattered in Jamaica, Cuba, and the Bahamas in the early 18th century Caribbean other than maybe a famous pirate or two? |

Lots of famous people we never heard of were totally assassinated before they could become really famous, right? Right? Riiiiight? But seriously, I think they might just be doing it because lolpirates. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but should probably be a side-bit for something like the French Revolution. Or a war. Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag is now confirmed for Wii U, PS3, 360, and PC (with PS4/Durango versions highly likely). Worthy of note is the fact that the PS3 version will have "60 minutes of exclusive gameplay." Full details on the game will be out this coming Monday. You can see pics of the boxarts at the links below. http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2013-02-28-assassins-creed-4-black-flag-confirmed-by-ubisoft-has-60-minutes-exclusive-gameplay-on-ps3 http://www.vg247.com/2013/02/28/assassins-creed-4-black-flag-confirmed-full-reveal-next-week/ |

I really do hope we are able to board ships more to conduct, you know, actual assassinations. Ubisoft seems to have forgotten since Brotherhood the name of the game is -assassin's- creed. At least Edward Kenway seems genuinely awesome. I do hope you really can have up to four pistols holstered at one time. It's just to bad we already know how Edward dies since Assassin's Creed: Foresaken covers that, but i'm already guessing that this game takes place long prior to those events. Awesome. I didn't get that interested in AC3 in the end, but this was looks far more fun, assuming you can actually to piraty thing with your ship and not just use it to go to place to place where it turns into the same old thing. |

I do my best. XD http://www.famitsu.com/news/201304/04031327.html Anybody notice that there was no actual gameplay in that gameplay trailer? It's assassins Creed. You can't really change much with the gameplay of the PC itself, aside from a new weapon or two. The main changes will be involving the ship combat and stuff. It's like Sly Cooper 3, (Assuming you made it to pirate land yet), only with less furries and more hairy men. Edited by Ovan, Apr 3 2013, 07:22 AM.

That's such a cop-out. Even if the basic gameplay between games will be similar, there is always something you can do to change things up. I can think of a TON of things. There is a reason so many people have given up on this franchise after investing in every game - Ubisoft has been lazy in a lot of areas. Even something as simple as the ability to crouch would be revolutionary for Assassin's Creed. AC has been a game where it has had missions that expected perfect stealth and yet its stealth capabilities have been mediocre at best. The "follow someone" missions have not improved even though other games have done it so much better (seriously, MGS4 did it better . . . in 2008 no less). And besides, if a game can't evolve, then it should die, period. With the kind of logic you've given, then you're pretty much stated that this game is no more than a cash cow. Every console Metal Gear game since 2 has improved leaps and bounds with different innovations even if the gameplay was similar in each. There is no reason Lazysoft can't do any different. And again, I can think of a ton of innovations. For one, silent assassins should be able to CROUCH already. Admittedly, my problem isn't that I don't like Assassin's Creed. My problem is that I love the concept too much. Well, at least it hasn't gone the way of Splinter Cell and Assassin's Creed. That would be bad. Not to mention, that doesn't justify the fact that it's called "a gameplay trailer". If there is no gameplay, then they shouldn't have called it a gameplay trailer. And your statement will be invalidated when they actually do reveal an actual video of the gameplay. Edited by RPGZero, Apr 3 2013, 07:46 AM.

There's a big difference between the Metal Gear! games and the Assassins Creed games. 1: Metal Gear games take years of development each, and also Kojima usually goes far and beyond what any other director would do. 2: Assassins creed games ARE a cash cow now. They've been releasing a new one constantly within the next year for a while now. Also it's a Premiere Trailer, not a gamepaly trailer. |
